The International Buddhist Conclave commenced today in Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, dedicated to the rich Buddhist culture and traditions of Northeast India. This two-day conference has been organized by the International Buddhist Confederation and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The conclave was inaugurated by the Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein. Several international delegates also participated in the conclave. On the first day, discussions were held on the historical significance of Buddha Dhamma, Buddhist art and heritage, and the cultural ties between India and Southeast Asia. The objective of this conclave is to strengthen cultural relations and promote Buddhist tourism.
