00:55In one instance, a passenger physically attacked an airline staff was saying,
00:59that the airline reportedly disclosed a pilot shortage only after the situation escalated.
01:06After the video went viral, many criticized Air India's handling of the situation.

01:14We reached out to Air India for a response.
01:20An official confirmed that the incident took place on 11 April 2025 when a severe dust storm in Delhi disrupted multiple flight schedules across several airlines.
01:27The Air India aircraft bound for Mumbai was initially unable to land in Delhi due to the storm and was diverted to Jaipur.
01:34Once weather conditions improved, the aircraft returned to Delhi.
01:41Despite the delay, boarding was initiated.
01:42But the airlines soon realized that the crew had already reached their maximum flying hours under flight duty time limitation rules of Director General of Civil Aviation.
01:48As per FDTL, crew members can operate a maximum of 8 hours of flight time per day.
01:55And a maximum flight duty period of 10 hours of flight time per day and a maximum flight duty period of 10 hours.
02:02Weekly flight time is limited to 35 hours with mandatory rest periods to prevent fatigue.
02:05Since the crew had hit their daily limit, they were not allowed to fly, causing further delays and passenger frustration.
02:12Passengers who had already boarded were asked to deplane and the airline had already reached their maximum flight time.
