00:00I'm traveling Europe in my Corsa for five weeks. My granddad built me a bed made out of pallets
00:04and I'm armed with a bunch of camel cigarettes so let's go. So day one the first mission is get
00:09to France. So we set off on the three and a half hour journey down to Folkestone to get the Eurotunnel
00:13to Calais. This cost us £89 per way and it literally took us an hour. This was my first
00:18time on the Eurotunnel. I don't know what I was expecting but it was so cool. Go through the
00:22passport check and technically you're in France and then you drive onto the Eurotunnel. My car
00:27insurance actually covers me to drive for 90 days in Europe. All you have to do is have a UK
00:32sticker on the back. I'm doing this with my Australian friend Ashla and luckily she's only
00:36five foot. My granddad is so talented the bed actually fits a six foot two person. The bed's
00:41actually in three pieces. The bottom comes out and makes a table and also lifts up for storage
00:45underneath and then at night the front seats go forward and then the plank extends to make our
00:49headboard. So we made it to Calais and we were super tired so we ended up just pitching up in this
00:53car park. The car park was empty when we went to bed but then we woke up and it was full of people.
00:58Make sure you come back for the next vlogs. You've heard of van life but have you heard of Corsa
01:02life? Me and my Australian friend are travelling around Europe in my Corsa camper so here's what
01:06we got up to on the first day. After getting the Eurotunnel over from England into Calais we stayed
01:10the night in a random car park and then drove through France and Belgium to Lichtenstein. Lichtenstein's
01:14a micro country and apart from the castle there wasn't actually much there. At the time of this trip
01:18the Eurotunnel were on so after my driving shift I had a beer as we headed to Salzburg because what
01:23a better place to watch the France match than in France. We used an app called Park for Night which
01:27told us where we're safe to park and sleep. We tried to find parking in Salzburg but it's definitely
01:31a city for bikes. After driving around for absolutely ages we did manage to park the car but we did miss
01:36most of the first half. The atmosphere was just incredible but the beer was so expensive. I think it
01:41cost me like eight euros for a pint and it wasn't even nice beer. After the game we had a walk around
01:46Salzburg. The craziest thing happened a few weeks later my cousin sent me a photo of my late father
01:51in pretty much the exact same spot that I took a picture in. The idea of this trip was to do it for
01:55as cheap as possible. We didn't stay around or have any meals out or anything we just had a walk around
02:01and then when we were finished we decided where we were going to sleep the night. We knew we wanted to
02:05go to this German town the next day so we headed into Germany. It's all open borders in Europe so it's
02:10just a case of driving a little bit and we found on Park for Night this little car park and there
02:13was other campers there. We felt very inferior in our little Corsa camper and everyone had all these
02:18very fancy expensive campers. We did pre-test our blackout covers but I think they were compromised.
