00:00Uh, Ahmed, uh, sorry, Ahmed, let's, Ahmed Eldon, to round out this first question.
00:07Isn't there an argument, though, as what the Trump administration is saying, is that this is fostering hate speech, it's fostering anti-Semitism, and there should be no place for that on university campuses?
00:19I disagree that there's an argument there, and I just want to take a moment and take the macro lens for a minute.
00:24I mean, let's be clear about what we're debating.
00:26This is not an abstract idea, Melinda.
00:28We're witnessing the systematic stripping away of American civil liberties through a campaign that criminalizes not hate speech, but dissent and censors legitimate criticism of a foreign regime that is plausibly committing genocide.
00:44I'm bringing that up because we keep hearing that this is, from people like Shabos and others, that this is about Judaism, that this is about anti-Semitism.
00:53It's not about that.
00:54It's about the deliberate conflation of the term anti-Semitism with any critique of Israel, which, by the way, Israel has killed more than 17,000 children in its genocidal war.
01:06It is blocking food, water, and medicine from an entire population, the definition of a war crime.
01:12Israel's leaders have international arrest warrants issued against them by the ICC.
01:17It's killing paramedics and then lying about it.
01:19I mean, look, Melinda, our academic institutions in the United States, the very places that nurtured free inquiry, free speech,
01:27and then lying about it.
01:37But the same thing, I mean, there's going to be, we're not going to do this, but we're not going to try to work on the other side.
01:43But now I'm building the same thing.
01:45It's all about that.
01:46Let us know what we're dealing with today.
01:48So, I mean, I'm doing the same thing, but not to be Stu-Rodhury.
01:50I mean, I think it's, but it's something that doesn't seem to be a part of this.
01:51So, to go to the end of a weekend, We're not going to write down a couple of questions.
