Bob Causer & His Cornelians - You'll Get By

It is amazing that several sources suggest this bandleader was a mere pseudonym and never existed (although for several recordings may well have been used his name); it is the sad proof of the total oblivion he got lost into. It is said he formed his first band in Ithaca, New York. He is listed as the drummer and occasionally as the vocalist on recording sessions. His main group was Bob Causer and His Cornellians, but before had also led Bob Causer's Big Four. Whiteman took the group to New York City for both concerts and recording sessions, including three sides for Victor. Causer's bands comprised several brilliant young talents, including vocalist Russ Morgan and trumpeter Bunny Berigan. This recording however was made in 1932. Vocal by Dick Robertson.
