00:30Basically, there is a bhajra that is known for tolerance to different kinds of abiotic stresses.
00:38So, our aim was that we had 33 locally available genotypes and screened for salt distress tolerance.
00:52Then we have identified some tolerant genotypes as well as some sensitive genotypes.
00:58So, we have narrowed down them and selected one tolerant and one sensitive.
01:03Then, we have identified some proteins that are responsible for the salt tolerance.
01:11This project is the continuation of the same genotype that we have already used for the proteomics approach.
01:21So, in this project, we are taking a different approach called transcriptomics.
01:27And that will be done through RNA sequencing.
01:31So, our aim is to identify the gene level.
01:35So, our aim is to identify the gene level.
01:37So, our aim is to identify the gene level.
01:44So, our aim is to identify the gene level.
01:48So, our aim is to,, our aim will be done through this project as well and we are all out of the gene level.

02:24then we will transfer that gene in tomato.
02:27We have selected tomato because it is a model plant,
02:30plus it is a crop plant category.
02:33By genetic engineering, we will transform tomato plants for that gene.
02:38Then we will see that the gene that we have selected
02:41is really giving tomato to particular tolerance or not.
02:45What is the biggest problem?
02:49The most challenging problem is climate change.
02:55This is what we are talking about.
02:58The SDG goals and sustainable development
03:00is also a big thing about climate change.
03:05The most important thing is development of climate resilience in the crop plants.
03:11We are targeting for that gene.
03:14We will have some novel and unique genes from pearl millet
03:20that can be transformed into the sensitive crop plants
03:24such as tomato, rice and other.
03:26Now we are planning on tomato,
03:28but we will try to try it.
