00:00Now, a huge friend of the show and the ex-SAS legend Matthew Hellyer
00:05has sent a very special video through to myself and to you, the GB News viewers,
00:11as he journeys through Belize with injured veterans
00:13in honour of the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
00:17Let's take a look.
00:18Hey, Martin, viewers.
00:20For VE Day 80, the Pilgrim Bandits charity are supporting veterans.
00:26We've now taken all of our military veterans, the injured guys and girls, to Belize
00:33in just a commemoration of all our veterans that have led us this way
00:38and give us the freedom to do what we want.
00:42We've paddled down the Mojo River, which is on the borders of Belize and Guatemala,
00:47and we're now finishing off our dive expedition
00:50where we have all of our injured veterans and all of our supporters
00:55we are here just to show unity and support to all of our veterans
01:03from the Pilgrim Bandits to our amazing community and VE Day 80.
01:09Thank you very much, and we'll see you when we get back home.
01:12God bless.
01:12That's Matthew Heddy there and the legends in Belize.
01:16And apologies there for the blowing in the background.
01:20They are, of course, aboard a boat in Belize.
01:22It's called The Wind.
01:23But apologies if that was hurting your ears at home.
01:25No, they're an inspiring charity, Pilgrim Bandits.
01:28A lot of those boys that were in that trip and their other charity work,
01:32they've been physically injured.
01:35Some of their limbs blown off.
01:37They've been very badly hurt going to war for queen and king and country.
01:42You can see them here on boating exercises,
01:45going over waterfalls in Belize, pushing their fear, getting their lives back.
01:50They rebuild through camaraderie.
01:52A lot of these boys, of course, have PTSD, mental health issues,
01:56and they get them together.
01:57They get the team met together.
01:59You can see here this guy has been injured.
02:01I think he's got an issue with his legs.
02:03And they just rebuild their confidence.
02:06They rebuild their will to live.
02:08It's an incredible challenge.
