00:07Poppy Shampoo back with another franchise top pick of the week.
00:10And this one in particular, I'm super hyped to talk about
00:13because I'm such a geek when it comes to Marvel Comics,
00:16the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Spider-Man.
00:18So you know where I'm going with this.
00:20Spider-Man Far From Home. It's in theaters right now.
00:22I actually got a chance to see it twice in the same day
00:25because it was just that good.
00:27And it's like, how do you top Avengers Endgame?
00:29I mean, just, you know, what we saw on screen in that movie
00:32just literally blew our minds.
00:34And not only that, it blew up the box office
00:36being the highest grossing movie of all time,
00:38knocking off Avatar.
00:39So how do you follow that?
00:40How does Marvel Studios just continue to bless us
00:43with great films?
00:44How do they top the juggernaut that is Avengers Endgame?
00:48Spider-Man Far From Home is a great compliment
00:50to Avengers Endgame.
00:52It actually picks up eight months after what happened
00:55in Endgame, and listen, they break down everything.
00:58So any questions you might have had
01:00about certain things that occurred in Endgame,
01:02they get answered in Spider-Man Far From Home.
01:05So definitely pay attention.
01:06Also, there's a lot of Easter eggs
01:07and a lot of callbacks to previous Marvel films,
01:10including, and I will say this,
01:12Iron Man 1, Civil War,
01:14just to name a few.
01:16But listen, I want to say that this is
01:18the best Spider-Man movie I've seen
01:21next to the original Spider-Man 2 with Tobey Maguire.
01:24They're definitely neck and neck.
01:26And there's a lot of Tobey Maguire enthusiasts
01:27out there who feel like, you know,
01:29he's the true Spider-Man.
01:30Listen, Tom Holland is nailing this character.
01:33You know what I mean?
01:34Like, he is Spider-Man.
01:36You can't tell me nothing.
01:37Tom Holland just continues to portray the character
01:39the way it's supposed to be.
01:41And another thing I enjoyed about
01:42Spider-Man Far From Home was the villain, Mysterio,
01:44played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
01:45Jake Gyllenhaal was the perfect pick for this role.
01:49So, and a lot of people might not know
01:51that Jake Gyllenhaal was actually supposed
01:52to play Spider-Man in Spider-Man 2 years ago
01:56because I guess there was a contract dispute
01:57with Tobey Maguire,
01:58but they had Jake Gyllenhaal, you know,
02:00on the sideline ready to go
02:02if Tobey Maguire wasn't going to fall through with it.
02:04But it's funny how they made it all,
02:06you know, circle back around
02:07and now he's in the MCU playing a Spider-Man villain.
02:10So, but Jake Gyllenhaal,
02:11who's known for playing complex roles,
02:13does an amazing job with a complex character
02:15like Mysterio.
02:17And lastly, I'm going to leave you with this.
02:18Do not leave the theater when the credits roll.
02:21That's right.
02:21There's two post-credits scenes
02:23and they're very detrimental to the future
02:25of what's going to happen to Spider-Man
02:27and also the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
02:30So do yourself a favor, hang tight,
02:32sit in your seat,
02:33wait till the actual movie's like over, over.
02:35Okay?
02:36But definitely go enjoy it.
02:37I know you'll like it.
02:38Definitely top five movie in the MCU for me.
