Moment judge rules on definition of a woman in landmark decision
Transcript

00:08refer to a biological woman and biological sex.
00:13But we counsel against reading this judgment as a triumph of one or more groups in our society
00:19at the expense of another.
00:22It is not.
00:24As I shall explain later in this hand-down speech,
00:27the Equality Act 2010 gives transgender people protection
00:32not only against discrimination through the protected characteristic of gender reassignment,
00:40but also against direct discrimination, indirect discrimination and harassment.
