Breaking: Sonia, Rahul Gandhi Named in Chargesheet, Congress Hits Streets Nationwide | ABP NEWS

In a strong show of defiance, the Congress party is set to hit the streets today in protest against the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) chargesheet filed against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case. Congress workers across the country will stage demonstrations outside ED offices starting from 10 AM. The party has alleged that the chargesheet is politically motivated and is part of a larger plan to harass and target its leadership. According to sources, Sonia and Rahul Gandhi hold a 48.8% stake in the Young Indian company, which had acquired Associated Journals Limited (AJL), the publisher of the National Herald newspaper. Congress leaders are calling this action an attempt to suppress political opposition and silence dissenting voices. The party has stated that such tactics will not deter them and has vowed to continue its fight both legally and politically. Meanwhile, the ED is also continuing its probe into another high-profile case involving Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi. The agency questioned Vadra for nearly six hours on Tuesday in connection with a 2008 land deal in Shikohpur, Haryana. Vadra's company, Skylight Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., had purchased land from Omkareshwar Properties for ₹7.5 crore. Soon after, the then Bhupinder Hooda-led government granted a license to develop a commercial colony on 2.7 acres of that land. Skylight later sold the land to real estate giant DLF for ₹88 crore.
