00:00Es la capacidad de contar la historia de esta en su propia manera, la manera que Gail can go en TV y talk about it,
00:07la manera que Amanda can go and continue to advocate for women broadly about it,
00:13la manera que Katie can sing about it, etc., la manera que Carrie Ann can produce films about it.
00:17That is what is so special about this crew en particular.
00:21And that is what's so special about this new era of spaceflight.
00:25This is not NASA. This is not governments. It's not the U.S., China or Russia.
00:31This is the commercial era. These are private companies.
00:34And this is Blue Origin sending the first all-female crew into space since 1963.
00:40And this is all going to happen so fast in just a few minutes, about 10 or 11 minutes from launch to landing.
00:47And don't worry, guys, I did the math. In case you're wondering, total duration of this mission
00:52is just about three Katy Perry fireworks songs.
00:57So play that song three times. That's how long this mission is going to be.
01:01Fantastic. Well, so at T-minus three minutes to go until our 31st launch of New Shepard,
01:08our 11th human spaceflight, just to tell you what's coming up here.
01:11At T-minus two minutes, we send the show over to the vehicle.
01:16It goes into autonomous mode.
01:18Command engine controller ready to start.
01:20We have our team, of course, in mission control that have their eyes glued to the screen there.
01:27There you go, mission control, quiet and intense.
01:31There's one of our crew members, Seven's capsule communicator, Laura Stiles.
01:34She is communicating in the ear of our capsule, in the ears of our astronauts.
01:40But what we're going to see in the last two minutes, you'll see the fins at the base of the rocket
01:44gimbal or just move back and forth.
01:47We want to make sure they've got free range.
01:49At the base there, you see the nozzle, the engine peeking out.
01:53The engine as well is going to gimbal, going to move both in conjunction together.
01:58Those two systems guide the rocket.
02:03And when you are out there at this moment, this rocket feels like it is alive.
02:08It feels like it is a living, breathing, missing thing, right?
02:14And there's the gantry pulling back from the rocket.
02:16T-minus two minutes and counting.
02:22Transition to onboard hydraulic pump.
02:27And this right here is the moment that they've been training for.
02:33Two days, becoming a crew, becoming a team.
02:39After you go through an experience like this, it's more than a team.
02:44It's almost like a family.
02:45You are so tight to go through something as intense as this.
02:48Executing aft fin, built-in test.
02:51And everything looking really good, Ariane.
02:54And so far from this control, everything is clean and green for this launch.
03:01T-minus one minute to go here.
03:11Engine thrust vector control built-in test in work.
03:14Vehicle is now on internal power.
03:19So in a moment here, we'll see those, what they call the bit checks, the built-in test checks.
03:25As you mentioned, Kristen, inside the capsule, you know, as you said, this is like a bridled beast.
03:32This thing wants to take off.
03:34Switch to onboard helium.
03:36Here we go.
03:38Good luck and godspeed, ladies.
03:41We're cheering you on from Canada.
03:42Let's launch this rocket.
03:43Termination system is armed.
03:46T-minus 22 seconds and counting.
03:54T-minus 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4.
04:06Command engine start.
04:072, 1, ignition.
04:18Liftoff.
04:21New Shepard has cleared the tower.
04:22Air ここ.
04:39Field from Canada.
04:40Flight.
04:446,000 feet climbing.
04:506,000 feet climbing.

06:36Ahora vamos a separar la cápsula de la booster.
06:42Y en ese momento, Cristin,
06:43es cuando todos los seis astronautas
06:45van a empezar a sentir la weightlessness.
06:47Y luego, después, vamos a letarlos unbuckle.
06:53Y eso es el más importante de este ascent.
07:00Oprah, viendo su best friend,
07:02ir a space.
07:06Y eso es el más importante de este ascent.
07:36¡Oh, Shepard!
07:40Picture-perfect landing right there.
07:41Picture-perfect landing.
07:43Right on target.
07:44You see that dust kind of creates this dramatic cloud
07:48that reveals the beautiful rocket
07:51that has just taken these ladies up to space and back.
07:53And I love the echo across the mountains.
07:56Is that what I was hearing there?
07:57That's what you were hearing.
07:58You were the sonic boom.
08:01Then you heard the engine relight.
08:03And all of that reverberates
08:04in this big, beautiful valley in West Texas.
08:07All right, shortly here, we're waiting to see
08:16the drogue parachutes deploy from the crew capsule.
08:19Those are like the guide parachutes.
08:22There we go, the drogue parachutes.
08:24Just free-falling right there until those drogues came out.
08:26And then next will be the main parachutes
08:30that get pulled out.
08:35Hear that screaming inside the capsule?
08:37And all three parachutes reefing,
08:40and they will slowly inflate.
08:46Slowing the capsule to a nice, smooth 10, 15 miles an hour.
08:52They are cruising back home.
08:55Three good parachutes.
08:56Three good parachutes.
09:01And I tell you, Kristen, from having gone through
09:04all of the simulations, going through all,
09:07I have gone through all of the training.
09:09They put you in the capsule that simulates all of this,
09:12including the sounds.
09:13And when you hear the mortars of the parachutes pop out,
09:16that is the best moment in flight.
09:19Because I know Blue Origin does everything they can
09:22to make this as safe as possible,
09:24as safe as possible.
09:25And you'll have an impeccable safety record.
09:27But it still has to feel really good
09:29when you know that you're coming back to Earth
09:31with those parachutes fully deployed.
09:37And we can see the capsule just over our shoulder here
09:46going to be landing north and east of the launch pad,
09:51coming down softly and beautifully.
09:53And you will see a puff of smoke when it touches down.
10:07A puff of dust.
10:08That should be, yes.
10:08That's normal.
10:09A puff of dust, last milliseconds.
10:12Air cushion that will kick up the dust.
10:15It's a very soft, soft landing,
10:17despite the sporty perception.
10:19Perception, there it is.
10:32Congratulations and welcome back to Earth.
10:39View status check.
10:41Double shot.
10:42Kristen, just some incredible images there.
10:49The capsule.
10:50Welcome back.
10:51Hi there.
10:52Nice.
10:54Let's wait for us in just a moment here.
10:56Make sure they're doing health checks in.
10:57I love my mouth.
11:01Beautiful.
11:01Yes, and as you heard it there, everybody seemed to be just as ecstatic
11:15to be back here, back on Earth.
11:18Everybody appears to be fine.
11:21Beautiful shot there of the capsule down in the desert.
11:24As we were just saying, it looks like a tough landing,
11:29but it is an air cushion in the last milliseconds
11:31that just makes it even softer.
11:34I will also note the parachutes landed very close to the capsule.
11:39That's just an indication that there's not very much wind out here today.
11:43A beautiful day for a launch and landing.
11:47A beautiful day to add six more names to the roster of astronauts
11:51that have been over the Karman line into space.
11:54I will have to go over there, okay.
12:08Katie!
12:08Katie!
12:09Woo!
12:11Come on.
