00:00Can I hear that one more time? I'm a little confused of what's happening here.
00:04People are living with people, they're paying money, they're not paying money, what's going on here?
00:12Greetings, I am Judge Danny, and I am here to litigate the drama of people I don't know.
00:17This is Danny's Court.
00:21I live my life in a just manner. I feel like anytime I'm in arguments, I'm always the one who's right.
00:27So I think that makes me a perfect person to decide who's right in these litigations.
00:32Let's get to it!
00:36So I'm six months pregnant, and my partner and I cannot agree on the spelling of our baby's name.
00:42I want to name him Jeffrey after my dad, with a G, but he thinks it's stupid with a G and that we should use the letter J.
00:49So I told him that when he carries the baby for nine months, he's more than welcome to decide how we spell the baby's name.
00:54Hmm.
00:56This is a tough case.
00:58Obviously, Jeffrey with a G is, you know, it's a controversial way to spell Jeffrey, but there have been some great Jeffreys with a G.
01:05I do believe that the mascot of Toys R Us was Jeffrey with a G.
01:09I do think she has a point. She is carrying that baby.
01:12I think I'm ready to make my ruling.
01:13Wait, we gotta hit the other side.
01:15Well, we do?
01:15I just don't understand why we can't meet in the middle on the name spelling.
01:20Nobody's going to respect that G in Jeffrey.
01:22I don't want my son to resent me because people keep calling him G-off.
01:26Can we compromise?
01:28After hearing his side, I don't really like the tone of his voice.
01:31I feel like the kid is probably going to have more issues with his dad speaking that way.
01:36This is going to be an easy one for Judge Danny.
01:39I rule in favor of the mother.
01:41It should be Jeffrey with a G, obviously.
01:45I mean, I do think that the father is right to think about how kids could potentially make fun of that name.
01:51But ultimately, you can't kind of name your child because you're afraid of haters.
01:56That's not a reason to name a kid.
01:58I named my son Declan, and we were told that kids would say, hit the deck.
02:01That they would punish him and beat him.
02:02And that's never happened once.
02:04Not one time.
02:06Next case, please.
02:07That wants me to try meatloaf, but I don't want meatloaf.
02:13Cookies is the best thing I ever had.
02:15Well, cookies is what I love.
02:18But meatloaf, what I don't love.
02:20It's crazy cuckoo pants bananas, but I don't even love it.
02:23I just don't like meatloaf.
02:27Sounds familiar.
02:28Am I right?
02:29Cookies is what's preferred?
02:31That was what was preferred in that case?
02:32Okay.
02:33I'd love to hear what Pops has to say about this.
02:35Obviously, he can't have cookies for dinner.
02:39We've been trying to introduce him to new foods, but all he wants to do is eat dessert.
02:42I am not going to let a five-year-old control my life.
02:46Meatloaf isn't even that exotic.
02:47And it's delicious.
02:49You know, this is a very tricky case.
02:52I often deal with this in my own personal life, having two children.
02:55I understand that you can't have cookies for dinner.
02:57That is not acceptable.
02:58But meatloaf is kind of a beat-ass meal.
03:01That is kind of something that's very boring and very little effort.
03:04You're basically just taking ground beef and smashing it into a pan and baking it.
03:08I'm going to say no on the cookies here, but I also think Pops needs to get a little bit more inventive with the meals that are being presented.
03:15If your kid doesn't like meatloaf, maybe try a nice vegetarian option.
03:19Maybe throw some tacos in there.
03:21Maybe cook up a healthy pizza.
03:24Meatloaf?
03:25Mmm.
03:26Kid's not wrong.
03:27Meatloaf is kind of boring.
03:28Who did I rule for there?
03:32Did I?
03:32Yeah.
03:33I think the real ruling here is Pops is right, but Pops should be more inventive with what's being presented.
03:40Meatloaf.
03:40I mean, when's the last time you've had meatloaf?
03:42I'm a pescatarian.
03:43Exactly.
03:44This kid is probably the same thing you are.
03:47Bam!
03:49Next case, please.
03:50My boyfriend and I have been dating for four months, and every time I stay over, I bring my own toothbrush, and I just leave it in the dish.
03:58But when I come back, my toothbrush is gone.
04:02This happened four times.
04:04Why is my soft bristle toothbrush disappearing?
04:08So I ask him about it.
04:09And he acts like he doesn't know what I'm talking about.
04:13It's interesting.
04:15Can we hear the other side of the story, please?
04:17I love teeth as much as the next person, but we did not discuss the leaving of the toothbrush.
04:24So I threw them out.
04:26Because it's not just the toothbrush.
04:29I found her bonnet underneath my pillow, her boots in my closet, and her underwear on my dresser.
04:35She's slowly moving in without consulting me, and I don't like it.
04:40Obviously, there are some valid arguments on both cases here, both sides of this.
04:45It's true.
04:45If she's leaving things more than just the toothbrush, this is leading to a bigger problem, obviously.
04:50There's some things that need to be discussed here about maybe personal upkeep, personal space, respecting one's personal space.
04:59And it's only a few months of dating.
05:01This is kind of quick to be leaving soft bristled toothbrushes in someone's house.
05:06After much deliberation, I think I'm going to have to rule in favor of not leaving the toothbrush at the house.
05:14It seems like the easy fix is to just pack a go bag and take that shit with you.
05:20I mean, you don't need to be leaving your shit around someone else's house if it bothers them.
05:24I mean, this is a major red flag.
05:27Take that toothbrush with you.
05:29Oh, not in Judge Danny's court.
05:37Let's go.
05:41I really think my dad is going to do something.
05:46Like, he keeps trying to do stuff like he's 20.
05:49He keeps trying to dye his beard, wearing these ridiculous baggy jeans.
05:53And every time my friends are around, he wants to know what the vibe is or what's lit.
06:00It's not your dad.
06:01I feel daughter's pain here.
06:04I do.
06:04It can be somewhat embarrassing sometimes to have a parental figure that's thirsty and wants to impress.
06:11I would like to hear the other side.
06:14First off, my daughter's a hater.
06:17Point blank.
06:18She just don't want to see a player shine.
06:21I keep a roof over her head.
06:23The flyers drip on her back.
06:26All the Wi-Fi in the world.
06:28And I can't live my life?
06:29Don't be mad because you have a cool dad.
06:33Embrace that shit.
06:35Because in the words of Kendrick Lamont, they are really not like us.
06:46The big missing pieces puzzle is daughters living under dad's roof, you know?
06:52And also, some people don't have dads, you know?
06:55It's kind of nice to have a cool dad who wants to impress.
06:57As much as I feel her pain, I think I have to rule in favor of cool dad.
07:04At least he's trying.
07:06You know, getting old sucks.
07:07It does.
07:08And people try not to get old.
07:10They do a lot of things to prevent that.
07:12Sometimes they try to act like they know about the cool music.
07:16They know about the cool hairstyles.
07:17They know about all the lingos and the words.
07:20Ultimately, you have to look at those things as that's a cry for help.
07:23That's somebody who is floating off into outer space and scared shitless about being irrelevant.
07:29So you've got to have a little patience sometimes and a little guidance.
07:33Maybe you help them pronounce a famous rapper's last name instead of just making fun of them, you know?
07:39That's it.
07:40That's how you can navigate this storm, I believe.
07:43Victory for cool dad.
07:45Kendall Lamont forever.
07:48Let's go.
07:50Tell me if I'm wrong.
07:52My roommate and her partner broke up last month.
07:54And my roommate is mad because I still speak to her.
07:57The thing is, we all still live together and her ex pays a third of the rent.
08:01Bitch, when she goes rent free, she won't be all right with me.
08:04But until then, yes, I'm going to be nice.
08:08She's hoping to keep the heat on.
08:12This is a messy-ass situation.
08:14Okay, let me hear the other side of this.
08:16Being kind and cordial does not mean laughing at her jokes,
08:20singing karaoke in the living room together,
08:22and cleaning the bone off of the steak she made.
08:25I have no problem with you talking to her,
08:26but as a roommate and a friend, you should keep it high and by with her.
08:30I can see how maybe some of this friendly action
08:34could make this breakup a little more difficult.
08:36It's a weird setup to begin with.
08:38Don't be dating people that you're not going to stick around with
08:41and having roommates and getting involved and paying rent together.
08:44It feels like you don't do that for this exact reason,
08:46that things get messy.
08:47It's hard to separate things.
08:49This is kind of crazy shit to be involved with here.
08:52I'm going to have to rule, I think, in favor
08:55of the roommate who's being nice.
09:00My buddy and I, we've been trying to build out
09:03our production company for, like, seven years.
09:05She just got a ton of grant money,
09:07and we had a project that was detailing
09:10the fashion years of Jesus.
09:11It was called Jesus, the Fashion Years.
09:15I was really into it.
09:16I'm a fan of Jesus.
09:17But now she wants to go in a totally different direction.
09:21Trying to get a production company together for seven years.
09:23Good Lord.
09:24Okay.
09:25What'd she have to say?
09:26Look, if you want to do a documentary about a robe and some sandals,
09:32be my guest.
09:33But since this is the majority of my money,
09:36I want to focus on the stories I want to tell.
09:38Like a sitcom about Jesus' half-brother, Rolando.
09:42He's a donkey salesman, but he's no ass.
09:45Okay.
09:46I understand the need to complete something
09:51after you've put so much energy into it.
09:53But I've got to say, money talks.
09:55Whoever's putting up that money at the end of the day
09:57is the one who's putting all the risk on the line.
09:59They're the ones who need to be very confident
10:01in what is being created.
10:03Jesus, the Fashion Years, not positive
10:05if that's going to translate to a lot of people.
10:07The Rolando story now, that's got my interest.
10:10This is real simple.
10:12Whoever has the money gets to make the type of Jesus show
10:15that they want to make easy.
10:25My closing remarks today, it was some tricky cases.
10:29There were both sides that had very valid points,
10:33but ultimately, I made the choices that I deemed correct.
10:37I'm never wrong.
10:38So obviously, these choices are what should be followed.
10:42You're welcome.
10:43Fuck you very much.
10:45Fuck you.
10:49Fuck you.
10:52Fuck you.
10:55Fuck you.
11:01Fuck you.
