00:00On the other hand, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, or NGCP, announced that no yellow or red alert status is expected in the country's power grids during the Holy Week 2025.
00:13According to NGCP, this forecast holds true as long as there are no sudden or extended maintenance shutdowns of power plants.
00:23This means that the possibility of brownouts remains low, especially for those traveling to provinces for a vacation during the Holy Week.
00:32In addition to Holy Week, NGCP also does not foresee any red or yellow alerts during the midterm elections in May 12, 2025, or throughout the entire summer season.
00:45The power grid operator also assured the public that contingency plans are in place in case of an expected power plant shutdown.
