US Camp in St Mère Eglise

A little confused situation today in St Mère Eglise, where many fake American soldiers are in fact true English WW2 collectors. These WW2 enthusiasts can exchange tips on uniforms with real veterans under the watchful eyes of surprised real modern day GIs.
These real GIs have pitched their giant tents near the local campsite. Accommodating at the moment only 200 soldiers, they soon will be packed with U.S. military personnel, because this is where next week operations will be conducted from. The ceremony in which President Obama will take part is only one worry amongst others…
Nothing compared to D-Day but nevertheless, a daunting task for logistical support units, the President is not the only expected American personality to attend the ceremonies. GIs based in St Mère Eglise will have to babysit many generals, senators and other members of the State Department.
Next week these varied missions will mobilize in Normandy more than a thousand American troops on the ground, St Mère Eglise is not about to stop accommodating American GIs real or not.
