00:00I watched them go off on the Warriors.
00:02They put the Warriors in the play-in.
00:03They kicked their ass.
00:06Yeah, that was a phenomenal game to watch yesterday.
00:09First of all, definitely surprised to hear that you're a Clippers fan
00:11all the way out in New York City.
00:13They don't get too far out east, but that is for the year.
00:17That's what's up.
00:18No, I mean, yesterday's game was just phenomenal.
00:21Again, it was the fourth quarter that Steph Curry had
00:24and the back and forth that he and James Harden and Kawhi Leonard had.
00:27It was just one of those games where it was a game of will.
00:30Like, who wanted it more?
00:32Who could get that extra shot?
00:33Who could create an extra turnover here and there?
00:36And so I think, you know, this Clippers team has been resilient all season.
00:39And from the very beginning, they've said the loss of Paul George
00:42is seen as addition by subtraction.
00:45Everyone thought letting Paul George walk was a big mistake,
00:47not offering him $50 million a year,
00:49keeping a superstar of his magnitude around it in town.
00:52And his departure led to big openings for guys like Norman Powell
00:58and Evita Zubac, who have been phenomenal
01:00and I would say probably have exceeded expectations.
01:03I think everyone expected him to have a bigger role,
01:05and I think they even expected to have strong seasons themselves.
01:09But when you look at just the seasons they've had,
01:11where Norman Powell averaged 24 points a game,
01:14nearly 50-45-90 before the All-Star break.
01:17He had a couple injuries after the All-Star break,
01:19so that kind of hampered him a little bit there.
01:21They've made some trades that affected his role a little bit.
01:24And then you look at Evita Zubac,
01:25who I believe was 59 double-doubles this season,
01:28second most in the NBA behind, like, Sabonis.
01:30Yeah.
01:31You know, I had to get five, three or four 20-20 games,
01:35five games with 20 rebounds.
01:37He's just been a phenomenal center.
01:38He had his first career triple-double to end the final home game
01:41and into a dome, the regular season game and into a dome.
01:43So every one of those guys, and that's just Norman and Evita Zubac.
01:49What they were able to do with the departure of Paul George, though,
01:53was also sign a guy like Derrick Jones Jr.,
01:55who was a phenomenal wing player with the Mavericks last year,
01:57helped him reach the finals.
01:59Good two-way guy, good three-point shooter, and showed that this year.
02:02They were able to bring back Nicholas Batum from the Sixers this offseason.
02:06They didn't want to trade him last season, but they had to to get James Harden.
02:08And then they signed Chris Dunn, who, you know,
02:11Steph Curry had 36 points yesterday.
02:14He also had eight turnovers.
02:15And if you watch that game, though, Chris Dunn made him work every single possession,
02:20going over screens, making him feel him the entire night.
02:24Steph got his.
02:25He got his 36 points.
02:26But, you know, I even asked him after the game.
02:28That was not an easy game for Steph.
02:30They made him work physically every single possession.
02:33And so I think yesterday was kind of an encapsulation of what this Clippers team
02:37is, a hard-fighting, connected, deep team around Kawhi and James Harden.
02:44They're no longer just a team that relies on their stars.
02:46They have a casting cast around them.
02:47And, you know, when Kawhi is Kawhi, we've seen what can happen.
