A crow rescued by a villager in west central India three years ago has captivated social media with its remarkable talking skills.

Footage shows the bird roaming around the small village in Palghar, Maharashtra, drawing the attention of neighbours and greeting them in return when spoken to, while the bird can also be seen interacting with family members.

Mangalya Munke recalled the day when his wife, Tanju, discovered the injured baby crow beneath a tree and brought it home. Over the past three years, the crow has become an integral part of the family, with the children feeding and playing with it.

00:00A crow rescued by a villager in India three years ago has gone viral for its
00:05impressive ability to talk. Footage shows the bird wandering the village, greeting
00:10locals, and chatting with the family that raised it. Mangalya Monke says his wife
00:15found the injured baby crow under a tree, and since then it's become like a
00:19family member, fed and played with by their children.
00:30Having grown up around humans, the crow now mimics phrases such as, what are you
00:37doing and why did you come home? As clips of the bird spread online, curious
00:42visitors began arriving from nearby villages trying to strike up
00:45conversations. The crow even asks strangers, what is your work, and calls
00:50family members by name. Though it flies with wild crows during the day, it always
00:54returns home before sunset.
