00:00Last night, President Trump held basically a cabinet meeting at a UFC fight.
00:06He took an entire entourage, including Dana White, down in Miami to the UFC fight.
00:15Brought his granddaughter, Kai, who's a great golfer.
00:18She's University of Miami.
00:20Yeah, I bet they were watching the Masters today.
00:22University of Miami signee to play golf.
00:25I mean, she is an elite, elite golfer.
00:27Yeah, she's absolutely great.
00:29And she has a huge following of her own among young people.
00:32My kids, that's who they would want to meet.
00:34My girls, they want to meet Kai.
00:36But listen, you're absolutely right.
00:37He brought the cabinet, some cabinet members with him as well.
00:42And he gets this rock star welcoming from every time he goes to UFC.
00:47To me, guys, this is Trump has taken back sports.
00:50I was with him at the NCAA wrestling, the Super Bowl, the reception that he is getting, the Georgia, Alabama.
00:59A football game.
01:00Look at this as he's walking in.
01:02Oh, look, and curb your enthusiasm fans who may not otherwise care.
01:06Colt Gabbard's there.
01:07Marco's there because he's in Florida as well.
01:09Oh, this is just badass, man.
01:11Yeah.
01:12And here's the deal.
01:13It's authentic.
01:14When Donald Trump comes in, he loves these fighters.
01:17We've talked about this before.
01:18He likes warriors, and he talks about them, not as athletes, but as warriors.
01:23Listen to the crowd.
01:24Listen to the reception he gives.
01:26U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A.
01:52So there you see him with Dana White, and Dana White actually was on Fox last night on
01:56Larry Trump's excellent show, and he talked about what we talked about yesterday, which
02:01was Bill Maher getting to meet Donald Trump in person via their mutual friend, Kid Rock,
02:09and just how, as we all know, because we know the president, we've met him, we also know
02:14people who are wary of the president or think they don't like the president, and then they
02:18meet the president, and they like him, or we know people, and we go, I wish you could
02:22meet him, because he's not the guy you think he is.
02:24Here's Dana White talking about that phenomenon around Donald Trump.
02:30So the first thing that happens is Bill Maher walks into the Oval Office, and me and the
02:35president were in there, and he has a piece of paper with every name that the president
02:41has called him over the last, you know, however many years.
02:43There were like 100 names on this list, and it was hilarious.
02:47Thank God he had two of them, because I had them both sign it, and I'm getting it framed
02:51and hanging it in my office, but I think the coolest thing about that meeting and that
02:57dinner was two guys who have not liked each other for a very long time, two guys who have
03:02many opposing views, got together and sat down and talked, and they talked about a lot of
03:07things that they agree on, and a lot of things that they disagree on, but Kid Rock and I always
03:13say, and you know this better than anybody, nobody walks into a meeting or a dinner with
03:18Donald Trump and walks out and doesn't like him. It's impossible. And if you say you don't,
03:23you're lying.
03:24It's the charm vortex. You fall into the charm vortex.
03:27It's 100% true, and I think this is so important, the way that people are responding
03:32in the sports universe. Trump was controversial in 2016. ESPN tried to turn him into an awful
03:39human being. Men are over it.
03:41He had his golf tournaments canceled.
03:43Remember, the golf tournaments were canceled.
03:44Totally. And ESPN had employees calling him a white supremacist. I mean, and now when you,
03:51they have to first of all cover him walking in with a rock star reception. I mean, that
03:55was ESPN video that we were playing. But I think it's symptomatic, look at all this, of
04:00America healing and people chanting USA and just wanting to be coming together, which is
04:07the best thing about sports. You don't really necessarily think about politics, and you'd
04:11like to respect the president. It feels like we're there again.
04:14That's so interesting because you say that. Dana White alluded to that. You know, we had
04:18Joe Biden was supposed to be the unity president, right? There was no unity during that time.
04:23We had conservatives thrown in jail. We had all kinds of crazy stuff. Is this a unity?
04:30Is this the next four years? Is the Bill Maher convention here at the White House?
04:35This is the unifier that no one saw coming. But what's really interesting about it, and
04:41I know a lot of like sports guys who don't care about politics, they care about sports and
04:45they, you know, I mean, they care about politics. They care about, you know, government and stuff
04:49like that. But their real focus is just not that. But they've been whatever it is, red-pilled
04:55or black-pilled or whatever. And to think about where the credibility, you know, who lost all
05:01the credibility and all that? The media. They will never believe anything the media ever tells
05:06them ever again. And the Democrat Party. I mean, and for a lot of these people sitting watching
05:10the UFC fight, you know, they have men fight men and women fight women. The idea that a man would
05:15identify as a woman and be able to... To fight at UFC.
05:19Men are over it. We're done with the ridiculousness. And I think that's kind of symbolic. Daytona
05:24500, Super Bowl, wrestling championships, the UFC, overwhelming cheering. Maybe the WNBA
05:30all-star game they wouldn't like. But everywhere else, he's got them won.
05:35And I'm a political spouse. I'm a political spouse, so I'm attuned to what that can be like.
05:41It's always treacherous for a politician to enter into a sports arena with a mixed crowd.
05:47A lot of them, as you said, apolitical. And overwhelmingly, people resonate with the fact
05:53that A, he embraces his masculinity. And B, he's a warrior himself. That's why he relates
05:59to athletes in that way.
06:01So quickly, remember, at the NCAA wrestling championship, every wrestler came over to
06:06shake his hand. To your point, Rachel, they had no idea how they were going to react because
06:10it's unscripted. All of them were phenomenal. And again, that story, young men in particular
06:16have broken Trump. And I think you see it with these crowds every single day.
06:19But none of them.
06:20Great point. Unscripted.
06:21Yes.
06:21That is actually the key to Donald Trump.
06:25Yes.
