00:00Ahead of these talks that are happening on Saturday, Trump reportedly called for the full dismantlement of Iran's nuclear program.
00:09Iran has said this is a red line, but is there a world where they would give up their nuclear program to avoid a U.S. military attack?
00:20Well, Trump himself, the Trump administration hasn't been very clear about its intentions because we've heard Steve Witkoff, who will lead the talks on Saturday.
00:30He's said that the U.S. wants a verification program, basically to verify, to make sure that Iran's nuclear material is not used for non-civilian purposes, for weaponization.
00:42But on the other hand, we've also heard from Mike Waltz, the national security advisor, who said a very different thing, that the U.S. wants to see Iran's nuclear program fully dismantled.
00:55They want Iran to give up its nuclear program in its entirety.
01:00And these are two very different things.
01:02What Witkoff called for, if that is indeed what Washington wants, that's something Iran can live with.
01:08It's not really a red line.
01:10They've done it before with Obama.
01:11But the second thing, which is what Waltz is calling for, which is to fully dismantle the nuclear program, that is a red line.
