00:35:57Finally, it looked like the 50 or so Earth users were tiring out.

00:36:09The problem with having a big army was not everyone was able to directly fight at the

00:36:13Sometimes in war, strategy was needed and Jack had planned to do this.

00:36:19to be working as he began moving further up the island, and opposing men had start.

00:36:24Due to move back, a special green beam came shooting out through one of the sand walls and

00:36:28managed to hit one of the blade's knights on the shoulder.

00:36:30However, although the attack was powerful and managed to knock the knight over, the attack

00:36:34itself seemed to have bounced off.

00:36:36Going into the air and causing no damage on closer inspection, it looked as if a lot of

00:36:40the attacks were merely bouncing off the armor.

00:36:42And it was also the reason why they were able to last for so long.

00:36:45It turned out that the ordinary-looking knight armor wasn't so ordinary after all.

00:36:49Still, it didn't matter if the front row managed to move forward, because then suddenly, several

00:36:54large blue thunderbolts came shooting outward.

00:37:44His right hand was completely covered in blue lightning racing up and down, from his shoulders

00:37:48all the way to his fingertips.

00:37:51Knowing what just happened, many of the men were a little stiff and unwilling to move.

00:37:55There wasn't a single person on that island that was wearing armor below that of the King

00:37:58Tier, yet still, they had been taken out with a single attack.

00:38:02I'm the leader of the Blade family.

00:38:04The old man said.

00:38:06The reason why I am telling you this is because you should all at least know the name of the

00:38:09person who will be taking your life.

00:38:11As Hilston, the old man stomped his foot in a certain direction.

00:39:55One of the men shouted, eye in the air, a large dragon the size of an aircraft was seen hovering

00:40:02Of course, dragons were nothing but mere legends and myths.

00:40:05This was something that only looked like a dragon.

00:40:07If it isn't a dragon, Jack thought.

00:40:09Then that means it's a beast.

00:40:11As it landed on part of the beach, the whole ground slightly shook by its sheer weight.

00:40:15And anything that was below its feet was crushed.

00:40:17The men were now split between dealing with Hilston and the dragon, with a single sweep

00:40:21of its tail.

00:40:22Men were sent flying back, knocked into the ocean.

00:40:25Then they all quickly realized something.

00:40:27None of their attack with weapons or abilities could do any damage to it at all.

00:40:31The large man standing by Jack's side shouted.

00:40:33We have to leave, I'm telling you, that's most likely a beast that is at the demon level.

00:40:37I have never seen something so powerful before, and I have no clue how he was able to keep

00:40:43Then suddenly something had clicked in Jack's head.

00:41:19Eve, the men who were carrying the teleporters had already opened it themselves and were starting

00:41:22to escape, heading back to the true dream city.

00:41:26Jack shouted.

00:41:27Quickly.

00:41:27Kenny quickly placed the teleporter on the ground, and the three of them without wasting

00:41:31any time were ready to jump through.

00:41:33But before doing so, Jack had pulled out a small little controller and pressed a button.

00:41:54They knew they were hopeless and their family head that they had pledged loyalty to, without

00:42:03He was lifted by the head and his body turned around, looking behind Hilston.

00:42:31As each person of the group stepped through the portal, they all held onto each other's

00:42:36They weren't quite sure how the square portals worked in relation to the circular portals.

00:42:40Was it like a station or a white portal where it was able to teleport you to a specific

00:42:44destination?

00:42:45Or was it like a red teleporter where it would teleport you within a mile or so of another

00:42:49one dot whatever the outcome was?

00:42:51The group didn't want to be separated from each other.

00:42:53So whatever they did while stepping through, they didn't let go.

00:42:56Standing at the front was Quinn, leading the charge if they were to head into any sort of

00:42:59danger.

00:42:59And at the back, was Layla their support with CIA being a little bit in front of her.

00:43:03The warpy feeling they would feel when going through the teleporter was gone, and CIA had

00:43:07her eyes closed through the whole thing.

00:43:09Now, they had finally made it to their destination.

00:43:11But when CIA opened her eyes, she could see nothing.

00:43:15It was complete darkness.

00:43:16What's going on?

00:43:17CIA said being frightened, her voice shaking.

00:43:20She tightened her grip on the person in front of her, which was Vorden.

00:43:23Ow.

00:43:24Your nails hurt, you know, Vorden complained.

00:43:26But I can't see anything.

00:43:27She cried.

00:43:28And you think I can?

00:43:30Vorden too was unable to see anything around him.

00:43:32But he was sure they were on the other side of the teleporter.

00:44:29But what was getting him excited more than anything was the layout of the room.

00:44:32If he was to move all of his research to a place like this, it would be exactly how

00:44:36he would organize it.

00:44:37All right, everyone don't panic.

00:44:38Just wait here for a moment, Logan said as he let go of who he was holding on to.

00:44:41And started to investigate one of the terminals.

00:44:43There were many buttons that Logan had no clue what they did.

00:44:46He could have guessed, but if he did it wouldn't exactly be accurate.

00:44:49So instead, he placed his hand on the machine.

00:44:51Using his ability, he was able to directly communicate with it and give it orders.

00:44:55It was easy to tell which was the main terminal.

00:44:57And soon, several lights opened all over the room.

00:44:59Ah.

00:45:00Quinn flinched as the lights turned on.

00:45:02And Layla had done the same.

00:45:04Could you warn us of beforehand the next time?

00:45:06Lights didn't hurt Quinn like the sunlight did.

00:46:17Quinn then went ahead and looked at a few other items,

00:46:19and although the system couldn't tell what most of them were,

00:46:21it did tell him they were all created by Richard Eno.

00:46:24It's a teleporter, Quinn answered.

00:46:26I thought as much, replied Logan.

00:46:28At least now we have our way back.

00:46:30I can activate it whenever I want using the terminal over there.

00:46:33Although everything looks old and damaged in here, it's quite advanced.

00:46:37Some of this technology has only recently been introduced to our world.

00:46:40Makes sense why it says they were all made by Richard Eno.

00:46:44Quinn said that a teleporter created by Richard Eno had led them to a laboratory created by him as well.

00:46:49It was clear it wasn't a coincidence.

00:46:51The question was, had what Fex said correct?

00:46:53Were they really now in the vampire world?

00:46:55Or had he made a mistake in just recognizing the teleporter as one of their own?

00:46:59They wouldn't know until they dug deeper.

00:47:01But other than that, the two of them started to think along the same lines.

00:47:04If they were in the vampire world, then what was Richard Eno doing here?

00:47:07There were a few possibilities.

00:47:09He was a vampire himself that later migrated to the human world.

00:47:12Or a human who worked with the vampires, or was doing research on the vampires.

00:47:16All of these were a great possibility.

00:47:19Logan said with a smile on his face.

00:47:22The two of them continued searching until they eventually reached another working terminal.

00:47:26This one had several different screens, six in total.

00:47:29Each screen seemed to be linked to a camera, and all of the rooms looked exactly the same.

00:47:33It was a square space with nothing inside.

00:47:35It reminded Quinn of certain mental asylums.

00:47:38Look at this.

00:47:39Quinn said pointing to the screen.

00:47:41Logan had seen it too.

00:47:42The rooms had marks of blood all over them.

00:47:44The wall, ceilings, and floor.

00:47:46However, they were quite dark and looked like they had been there for a while.

00:47:50Maybe the rooms were used to run experiments of some sorts.

00:47:53Live subjects, human subjects, or other vampires?

00:47:57Well, if we can get to where those cameras are, I can actually check the blood.

00:48:00Maybe it will give us more answers to what type of place this is,

00:48:02and who exactly Richard Eno was, because I don't know why, but this place is giving me the chills.

00:48:06While Layla and CIA were sticking to each other like glue,

00:48:09Vorden was looking at the wall with the several doors that had different numbers on them.

00:48:12There were six doors in total, each with a number on the front.

00:48:15He saw the girls looking at them earlier, but didn't really attempt to open them much.

00:48:19Feeling a little trapped, he was looking for an exit.

00:48:22As he approached the first door, he looked around to see if there was anything,

00:48:24but there really was nothing that AT the same time,

00:48:27over to where Quinn and Logan were, they had just figured out something.

00:48:30Low.

00:48:30Gon's hand was pressed up against the computer.

00:48:33It's telling me if we press this button, it will open a door to one of the rooms.

00:48:36Pressing the button, the door had opened, and a slight steamy sound was heard.

00:48:40When they looked up at where the door had opened from they could see Vorden standing in front of an open door,

00:48:44Vorden could see a room in front of him, but was cautious about stepping in.

00:48:48But nearly in an instant, something had grabbed him, pulling him in.

00:48:51The door soon after immediately shut again, level one trial initiated, open the door.

00:48:56Quinn shouted, I can't.

00:48:58Logan replied, I don't know what's happening.

00:49:00It's not listening.

00:49:01Vorden was trapped.

00:49:02Chapter 388.

00:49:04The First Trial.

00:49:05Logan now had both of his hands pressed on the terminal,

00:49:08and his expression was one of struggle as he started to sweat a little.

00:49:10This was the first time Quinn had seen him panic like that.

00:49:14This only meant they were in a tough situation, that I can't open the door.

00:49:17Logan shouted.

00:49:18It can understand me, and it's listening to me.

00:49:21But it's the first time a machine has ever been able to outright refuse my requests like this.

00:49:25What's going on?

00:49:26He tried and tried again, but it was clear that right now there was nothing they could do to help Vorden.

00:49:31The two girls were not too far from the other doors themselves,

00:49:33and before anything could happen to them, Quinn quickly called them over.

00:49:41All of them were now carefully watching one of the screens on the terminal that clearly showed Vorden in the room.

00:50:04and hers wasn't an offensive one in the first place, so the only thing he could rely on right now were the weapons.

00:50:09Now, standing in front of him, he could see one thing in the room.

00:50:12It was a robot.

00:50:14Although not a humanoid-looking one, to say the least.

00:50:16Its upper body was like that of a human having two hands and a chest frame with a head on top,

00:50:21but after that nothing else looked human.

00:50:23Where its head should have been there was a single eye that looked like a pair of binoculars,

00:50:26and as for the legs, they were non-existent.

00:50:27Instead, it was a pair of triangle-shaped wheels with the tire being a band that would move along with the robot,

00:50:33emulating a treadmill.

00:50:34Since it was the only thing in the room,

00:50:36Vorden could only guess that it was this robot that had pulled him in.

00:50:39Although it looked weak, for a brief second, he had felt its strength and was extremely cautious.

00:50:44As he backed up with his blades continually drawn, he didn't break eye contact even for a second.

00:50:49Then when he felt his back go up against the wall, Vorden lifted his foot and hit.

00:50:53It as hard as he could with his heel, but there was no response.

00:50:56He could not move it at all.

00:50:58When Quinn had used his inspect skill, he had made a note that everything was made of galthrium,

00:51:02which was why he hadn't tried to even attempt at breaking down any of the doors.

00:51:06And if Quinn couldn't do it, then Vorden definitely felt like he couldn't do it either.

00:51:11A voice said from the robot.

00:52:11This whole area is unfamiliar, and I've never seen anything like this before.

00:52:16Quinn did remember stating that when the system was alive, he lived on Earth.

00:52:20So it would make sense to not know about this if the lab was relocated along with the vampires.

00:53:13However, both Quinn and Logan were extremely interested in what was exactly in the strange

00:53:17green liquid.

00:53:18Perhaps it would give them answers to what this whole trial thing was about in the first

00:53:21place.

00:53:25About everything so far.

00:53:28But just to warn you, I have a feeling that if I say yes, there's a good chance he's going

00:54:01not only Vorden nervous, but the rest as well.

00:54:04Suddenly, from above, a hole in the ceiling had appeared, and then closed nearly just as quick.

00:54:08In the short time it had opened, something had fallen from the ceiling, and made a loud

00:54:13thumping noise below.

00:54:14The first thing that came to Vorden's senses wasn't the appearance of what had fallen,

00:54:18but instead was the smell.

00:54:19He had wanted to immediately lift his shirt to cover his mouth, but was aware he couldn't.

00:54:23The smell was extremely bad.

00:54:25It smelled as if food had been left out for several days.

00:54:28Then when looking at what had dropped on the floor, and where the smell had come from,

00:54:46Immediately outside, CIA had to look away from the screen.

00:54:49She could take all of the things Layla had said, but seeing this, reality started to hit

00:54:53her about what type of place they were really in.

00:54:55Looking at the arm closer, Vorden could tell that it clearly wasn't a fresh one, for it is

00:54:59very pale in color, and most of the inside looked rotten.

00:55:02After dealing with Peter, he had seen his fair share of fresh limbs that had been cut

00:55:06off.

00:55:07The trial will now begin.

00:55:08An announcement was made.

00:55:10Once again, one of the panels from the ceiling quickly opened, and this time on the other

00:55:13side of the room, something larger had fallen to the floor.

00:55:16IT was curled up in a ball, but it looked to be human.

00:55:19Its bony spine could be seen, and it had no clothes, apart from a rag covering its privates.

00:55:45However, it looked as if the creature was made of nothing but skin and bones, as in its

00:55:49ribcage, kneecaps, and several other areas could be seen clearly.

00:55:52Then when looking at its head, all th.

00:55:54It could be seen and its eyes was white.

00:55:57Crap.

00:55:57The creature screamed, and as it opened its mouth wide, it revealed several razor-sharp

00:56:03Similar to a vampire, only every single one of its teeth was just as sharp.

00:56:14It was a word that hadn't been mentioned in a while, and it had long shifted to the back

00:56:18of Quinn's mind, but suddenly all of the bad thoughts came rushing out his head as

00:56:22the system had said those words.

00:56:23The Wendigo was one of the evolutions a ghoul could evolve into.

00:56:26IT was one of the options that Peter was able to evolve into, but instead, he turned

00:56:30into a white.

00:56:31They were similar to whites with their amazing healing capabilities and strength, but at

00:56:35the same time vastly different.

00:56:36They showed no signs of intelligence and were unable to speak any words.

00:56:40They were detached from any emotion, only feeling one thing, hunger.

00:56:44Their hunger was far greater for flesh than a ghoul or a white.

00:56:48While they did it out of survival, the Wendigos did it out of addiction.

00:56:50They were one of the very few evolutions that, when created, would be completely detached

00:56:55from their creator.

00:56:56They could be killed without any type of ramifications since the connection was no longer there, which

00:57:01made them perfect for testing situations like this.

00:57:03How strong is that thing?

00:57:05Quinn hurriedly asked the system, knowing full well Vorden didn't have many abilities.

00:57:09It's hard to tell just from looks.

00:57:11It's unlike a white that gets stronger as its master gets stronger due to their connection.

00:57:15A Wendigo will only be as strong as its master was when it evolved, and then further

00:57:19gaining strength depending how much it has eaten.

00:57:21Meaning it all depends on who created it, and what happened after.

00:57:24With no clue on what to do, or how to help, it looked like Vorden was on his own with this

00:57:28one.

00:57:29Stepping back, Vorden readied himself, as the Wendigo started to move closer to the middle

00:57:33of the room.

00:57:34Once it goes for that arm, it will be my chance to attack.

00:57:37Vorden thought.

00:57:38The Wendigo carried on moving, and just as it reached the center it didn't stop.

00:57:42It had completely stepped over the arm, ignoring it completely.

00:57:44In a second, all of Vorden's hopes were dashed, of course.

00:57:48Why would it go for that manky old thing when it has a freshly made burger right in front

00:57:52of it?

00:57:52Although it was large in size, perhaps it wasn't powerful, was Vorden's next thoughts.

00:57:56But suddenly, the Wendigo leaped towards Vorden with its long clawed arms.

00:58:00A roll was made at just the right time dodging the attack, but as soon as he gained his footing

00:58:04another swipe was made.

00:58:05Activating the white sword had allowed his body to move just a tad bit faster, and he had

00:58:10blocked the attack.

00:58:11Still, his whole arm was flung to the side.

00:58:14Quickly switching back to black blade, Vorden swung down hard at the second claw that was

00:58:18coming at him, managing to pin it and hit it to the ground, after practicing a little

00:58:22with the swords.

00:58:23Vorden realized that the pair had a very unique active skill, called yin and yang.

00:58:28Although both weapons had an active skill, while using one he was unable to use the other.

00:58:33When using the yang blade, his whole body got a speed boost allowing him to use his sword

00:58:36skills and movements quickly.

00:58:38When using the yang blade, although his speed was back to normal, his power was greatly increased,

00:58:42and now he could tell he was able to match it in power.

00:58:45Still there was one problem.

00:58:46The Wendigo was both faster and stronger than his natural self.

00:58:49Making it difficult, as he quickly needed to switch between the two as he did then.

00:58:53This was not only taxing for his mind but for his body as well.

00:58:56Lifting up the bulk blade, he quickly activated the white blade's power and started to move

00:59:01back, avoiding the next set of swipes that came his way.

00:59:03Will you please give me a break?

00:59:05He shouted, as the Wendigo carried on coming at him like a wild animal.

00:59:09There was only one thing left that he could do.

00:59:11He threw the black blade up in the air, while using the white blade to dodge the fast attacks.

00:59:15This meant that now his other hand was free, and he was able to use the spirit spear.

00:59:19Throwing it outward, it had stabbed the Wendigo in the stomach.

00:59:22It caused no pain, but that wasn't what Vorden was aiming for.

00:59:26The beast was greatly slowed, and it was at a speed that Vorden could now match.

00:59:30As he dodged the next set of attacks, he did a little spin, and jumped for the black blade

00:59:34in the air.

00:59:34As soon as he did that, he activated the black blade's power and swung both blades right

00:59:39at the Wendigo's head, cutting it clean off.

00:59:41Its body quickly fell to the floor, and Vorden was huffing and panting greatly.

00:59:45His breathing was completely off, and his chest was hurting.

00:59:48The constant switching was also messing up with his body's natural rhythm, even causing

00:59:52his heart to misbeat in some areas, which was extremely dangerous.

00:59:55Any longer, and he could have been in serious trouble.

00:59:58I don't know if that boy is lucky, or just has really good instincts.

01:00:02The system said, if he was to cut off any other part of the Wendigo's body, it would

01:00:06have almost healed on the spot, prolonging the fight.

01:00:09Cutting off the head is the only way to kill an undead.

01:00:12And you don't think he could have used that advice during the fight.

01:00:15Quinn said back, annoyed at the useless system, the fight was far too intense to allow any

01:00:20distractions.

01:00:21Telling you, to tell him would have made his chances of survival decrease.

01:00:24While Vorden was still holding his chest in the white room, there was one thing he

01:00:28was sure about.

01:00:29If he needed to fight another one of those things, he wasn't sure if he could make it

01:00:33The robot once again started to move over to the Wendigo's body.

01:00:36It pointed one of its hands towards a body, and after a few seconds that hand had completely

01:00:40transformed into what looked like an oval-shaped cannon.

01:00:43Out from it, a large laser-like substance was shot.

01:00:46It wasn't harming the room in any way, but as it touched the body, parts of it quickly

01:00:51turned into ash that I guess I did the right thing to not try to fight that thing.

01:00:55Vorden thought, as he gulped, as soon as the whole thing was turned to ash, like a vacuum

01:00:59it started to suck up the ashes until there was no trace of the Wendigo left at all.

01:01:03The same process was then done with the rag, and arm as well.

01:01:07The robot then moved back towards the center and finally made an announcement.

01:01:10Trial one has been completed.

01:01:11Would you like to continue on to the next one?

01:01:13The robot asked.

01:01:14Hell no.

01:01:15Vorden answered immediately.

01:01:17Get me out of here.

01:01:18Trial put on hold.

01:01:19Reward shall be distributed.

01:01:20The robot once again opened up the tray on its body, only this time, a red round shaped

01:01:25pill was placed on it.

01:01:26The door had yet to open as Vorden looked around, and it looked like nothing would happen

01:01:30until he took the pill.

01:01:31Damn it.

01:01:32He thought as he picked up the pill, but at the same time the steam sound of the door

01:01:36opening behind him was heard.

01:01:37He only needed to take the reward, and not actually consume it.

01:01:40He was never happier to leave such a place, and not waiting a second, bolted out of the

01:01:44room.

01:01:45When he left, the door behind closed once again.

01:01:48Vorden, are you hurt anywhere?

01:01:50Layla said, running up to him and looking around and I'm fine.

01:01:53That thing didn't even put a scratch on me.

01:01:55He replied that IT did look like you were having a hard time in there, but I'm just

01:01:58happy.

01:01:59I wasn't the one that caused your death.

01:02:00Logan said, Dio, you mind if I take a look at what that robot gave you?

01:02:04Quinn asked.

01:02:05Vorden showed Quinn this small little red ball pill, and Quinn used his inspect skill

01:02:08to see what it was.

01:02:09Inspect, a special pill designed by Richard Eno.

01:02:12It will permanently increase one's strength.

01:02:14The description was short, and for a second Quinn had to read it again.

01:02:17He had never heard of any type of pill that could do such a thing before.

01:02:20But now what he was more worried about was if there were any side effects to such a thing,

01:02:24and if anyone could use IT to Dio, you know what it is?

01:02:27Vorden asked.

01:02:27Kinda.

01:02:28Quinn replied.

01:02:29He decided it was time to explain further how his vampire powers worked.

01:02:33It didn't make sense to hide it any longer, and it was only making things more difficult.

01:02:37Just because they knew it was a system would change a thing, S.O., he proceeded to tell

01:02:41them about how the system and his vampire powers worked.

01:02:44Now, they all knew how Quinn was able to get stronger, and why he had known so much information

01:02:48about things.

01:02:49The only thing he still kept a secret was the AI system related to the system.

01:02:53Even he didn't know much about it, and that would just complicate things.

01:02:56Anyway, when using my inspect skill, it says it can permanently increase a person's

01:03:00strength.

01:03:00Honestly, it sounds similar to when I consume an A-type of blood, but I don't know if it

01:03:04will even work, or if there are any side effects.

01:03:07Vorden thought about it for a while before giving his answer.

01:03:09I think it's best if I keep it for now.

01:03:10Maybe we will find more information on it, or, when we get back, log.

01:03:16Vorden replied, finding out about the effects of the pill had only made Quinn more interested

01:03:27seemed to be the only one on the same wavelength.

01:03:37The only thing we have seen though, is stranger things enter it through that room.

01:03:47Quinn also wanted to go and inspect the blood on the walls, to see if it really was from

01:03:50a vampire or a human that I should be fine.

01:03:52If it's like before, and a wendigo comes out, I'm confident I should be able to beat it

01:03:56fairly easily.

01:03:57Quinn replied.

01:03:58And this time I'll stay in the room, to see if there's anything I can do for me inside.

01:04:02The others didn't like it, but honestly there was no better option.

01:04:05Quinn prepared himself before entering, and had chosen to go in the same door.

01:04:09The other doors were unknown variables.

01:04:11Most likely they all did the same thing, so they could run six different tests at the

01:04:15same time, but just to make sure it was safe, he chose to pick the same room.

01:04:18Here they at least knew a little bit of what could happen.

01:04:20Open the door.

01:04:21Quinn said and Logan pushed the button.

01:04:26The robot was already there, waiting for him.

01:04:29The door behind him then closed, and the robot started up once again, resuming trials.

01:04:37Entering the room, an unexpected message had occurred, but the door behind Quinn closed

01:04:41instantly.

01:04:42Judging from what happened with Vorden, now there was nothing he could do until the trial

01:05:02He placed his hand on the terminal, trying to communicate with it one more time.

01:05:06Machines, robots, they all followed a set of code, instructions, rules.

01:05:10However, he was only met with disappointment.

01:05:12Once again, reminded about how this strange computer seemed to have a mind of its own.

01:05:16Doing things out of the ordinary, Quinn was unafraid, confident in his new skills and

01:05:21newfound power.

01:05:22He was able to get a good gauge on the Wendigo's strength-watching Vorden, and if he was to face

01:05:26something a little harder, he knew he could get through it.

01:05:28Instead, multiple thoughts were running through his head, thinking about how they could get

01:05:33out of this place.

01:05:34What exactly was this place being used for?

01:05:36Looking at Seve, Ral of the blood marks, Quinn activated his level 3 in spec skill.

01:05:41A little window popped up above each one of the blood, giving out little bits of information.

01:05:46What had surprised him a little was how the blood marks were a mixture of human, as well

01:05:49as an unknown blood type.

01:05:51If he was to take a guess, the unknown blood type would belong to the vampires.

01:05:54They didn't have a set blood type like the humans did, but were still red in color all

01:05:58the same.

01:05:59Looking at the information, there wasn't much detail.

01:06:01Only what letter the blood type was.

01:06:03As for the ones he couldn't recognize, it just came up with several question marks.

01:06:07Before the trial would start just like last time, the robot opened up its little tray from

01:06:11its chest piece, and revealed the green solution.

01:06:13Inspect.

01:06:14A 10% increase in all stats.

01:06:17Once consumed.

01:06:18Will last one hour.

01:06:19Although the inspect skill once again couldn't tell where the green liquid had come from,

01:06:22seeing that message caused something to click in Quinn's head.

01:06:25The effect he was looking at now was the same effect when he had consumed the Dalkey's

01:06:29green blood.

01:06:30It couldn't have been a coincidence that the liquid in the syringe was green in color,

01:06:33on top of having the same effect.

01:06:35There was a high chance that it was Dalkey blood.

01:06:37Are the vampires and the Dalkey really related after all?

01:06:40Quinn thought, but there was another confusing thing.

01:06:43The system had seen Dalkey blood before, so why didn't it register it?

01:06:46Instead, it just came up with question marks.

01:06:49Will you be taking the solution for this trial?

01:06:50The robot said, yes, Quinn replied.

01:06:53What are you doing, Quinn?

01:06:54Vorden shouted, hearing his answer.

01:06:57It a risky thing, and maybe the robot won't start the trial until you actually take the

01:07:01We can't guarantee it will be like the rewards.

01:07:04But Quinn had another theory.

01:07:05He was 90% sure this was exactly the same as the Dalkey blood.

01:07:09When he consumed the blood before there were no side effects and only positives.

01:07:12The way he was now, it was unlikely he would die by such a thing, and it was clear they

01:07:16were testing this out on vampires and possibly humans as well.

01:07:19They wouldn't just outright give them a solution that would kill them.

01:07:21Taking the syringe from the robot, he waited for some type of response.

01:07:25But nothing came, which meant Vorden was right.

01:07:27It wanted him to take the syringe before the trial would start.

01:07:30Sorry, Logan.

01:07:31Looks like I'm going to have to find some other way to get you this stuff.

01:07:33Digging the needle into the top of his thigh, the green liquid slowly injected into his

01:07:37body.

01:07:38A strange tingling sensation could be felt inside traveling through.

01:07:41It started to spread all over as if his body was on fire.

01:07:44It reminded him a little of the sensation he had felt at the hospital after consuming

01:07:48too many blood types.

01:07:50Finally, it stopped, but his body felt fresh.

01:07:53After looking at his stats, a big smile appeared on his face.

01:07:57It was a temporary buff in strength, but since he had hit his limit, he wasn't 2S.

01:08:07The robot said as it moved back and allowed for two objects wrapped in rags to fall to the floor.

01:08:19Shortly after, two more larger objects had dropped from the ceiling, and they had already

01:08:25They were the Wendigo's that Vorden had faced only moments ago, and I'm glad I could leave

01:08:28the room, Vorden said.

01:08:30I would have been dead otherwise.

01:08:31It wasn't because Vorden was by any means weak.

01:08:34Just at this moment, he felt so, due to not having any of his abilities to copy from.

01:08:38He was thankful he had at least the two swords to defend himself.

01:08:42Where are those ugly things coming from?

01:08:44CIA asked.

01:08:45She has a point, Logan replied.

01:08:47How many of those Wendigos do they even have?

01:08:49Is there a breeding ground somewhere of some sorts?

01:08:51Maybe a storage room where they are all kept in?

01:08:53On top of that, how long have they been up there, judging by the food they are dropping

01:08:56with it?

01:08:57It's been a long time since anyone has looked after this place that I hate to say it,

01:09:00but this facility might be incredibly dangerous.

01:09:02Once Quinn gets out of there, we should do our best to leave this place and stop playing

01:09:06this robot's silly games.

01:09:07I hate when I have no clue what's happening, and I can't even think straight.

01:09:11Logan's mind had been rattled by this whole experience.

01:09:14The excitement he initially had was now completely gone, and he just wanted to leave.

01:09:19Usually, machines, gadgets, and robots would be his safe haven, but right now, he felt extremely

01:09:24uncomfortable.

01:09:25Perhaps at a later time, when they understood more, he would be happy to come back.

01:09:29Quinn stayed in the center not moving from his spot.

01:09:31He had all of his beast gear on, and that included his new gauntlets.

01:09:35They had been equipped before he had even traveled through the teleporter in case they

01:09:38ran into trouble the second they arrived.

01:09:40The two Wendigos started to get up from their crouched positions, and in a split second both

01:09:44of them leapt straight forward towards Quinn.

01:09:46Your aggressive nature makes you all a little bit too predictable.

01:09:49They were both quite a bit taller than himself, but when they leapt they were slightly crouched

01:09:53like a beast, making them level with his shoulders.

01:09:56A.T., just the right.

01:09:57Time.

01:09:58Quinn jumped up avoiding a pair of long arms and kicking the others away.

01:10:01Now being slightly above them, on the way back down he grabbed them both on top of their

01:10:05heads.

01:10:05He felt like he could have quite easily dealt with them, and if he wanted to he could have

01:10:08crushed their skulls.

01:10:10But there was something he was eager to try out.

01:10:12Activate skill.

01:10:13Thundercote.

01:10:14Quickly, the blue lines running through his gauntlets started to light up.

01:10:17They followed from his elbow, all the way down to his fingertips.

01:10:20In nearly an instant A.B., Lou Electric Discharge came out covering both of his gauntlets.

01:10:26The power was passed through onto the Wendigo's, shocking fear bodies.

01:10:29They immediately fell to the floor, and started to shake uncontrollably.

01:10:32A.T. managed to stop them completely.

01:10:34They were quite physically powerful.

01:10:36But the attack doesn't seem to have done much damage.

01:10:39It was a good opponent to test the active skill on, and so far Quinn was pleased, but

01:10:42still, he had no idea how this would affect even stronger opponents.

01:10:46Using all of his strength, Quinn stomped on the first Wendigo's head.

01:10:50Splattering it to pieces.

01:10:51It was done so easily, it was as if there was no skull at all.

01:10:54He then did the same to the other while it continued to shake about on the floor, and

01:10:58now their bodies were no longer moving.

01:11:00C.I.A. seeing how easy and quick Quinn had dealt with the things turned her head to look

01:11:03at Borden.

01:11:04Was he just weak?

01:11:05She thought, but then remembered how quick she could see him moving on the camera.

01:11:09That couldn't be the case, and he had even used her spirit blade.

01:11:12I.T. just meant the person she was watching now.

01:11:14Was incredibly strong.

01:11:16I'm glad he's on our side.

01:11:17I would hate to be his enemy.

01:11:19A Wendigo has been killed.
