Here's how to make bruschetta with just a handful of ingredients by the head chef of Franco Manca.
Transcript
00:00Hello guys, my name is Rafa, I'm the other chef for Franco Manca, and today I'll show you how to make a bruschetta.
00:08So, we start with the tomatoes. Our tomatoes come from the Isles of Wight.
00:12All you're going to do, you're going to get different varieties of tomato, as you can see here, different colors, just to give a nice look to your bruschetta.
00:18And you're going to chop them too.
00:23Once all of your tomatoes are cutted, chopped, you're going to mix them together.
00:29Then, we'll add a bit of salt.
00:35A few pinches of oregano.
00:43And some basil leaves. Make sure when you do your basil leaves, don't use a knife to cut it, otherwise they are going to get black very, very fast.
00:52Some olive oil.
00:54And mix them well.
01:01Our next step is to get our bread ready and toasted. In this case, I'm going to be using our sourdough bread.
01:10Grab your bread, put it in the toaster.
01:12That's it. Once your bread is nice and crisp, it doesn't need to be completely toasted, just nice and crispy.
01:22Okay?
01:25Get it off the toaster.
01:28Get one garlic.
01:30And scratch it on the base of the bread.
01:35Just so this way, you're only giving the flavor to the bread, not for the tomatoes.
01:41And you're going to enhance the flavor of the garlic.
01:45After that, you can just prepare to serve.
01:48Grab the tomatoes and place on the top of the bread.
01:51You can still add a drizzle of olive oil on the top.
