Van Sickle looks forward to first title  Filipino-American outside hitter Brooke Van Sickle has not won a major league championship even during her time with Oregon and Hawaii University in the US-NCAA. After leading Petro Gazz to a Game One win over Creamline in the PVL All-Filipino Conference Finals on April 8, 2025 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Van Sickle closed in on that coveted championship. 00:00This is exactly what I expected it to be. I know Green Line has a big fan base, so it was very loud.

00:07It was very hard to win at some points, which was nice, because it drowned out, I know, all the thoughts.

00:14So, yeah, it was everything that I expected, and, you know, a five-setter should go either way.

00:21At that point, you just don't know who's going to win or lose, but I'm expecting Thursday,

00:26Green Line is going to come out and win the best volleyball possible, and we have to be ready as a team,

00:31and we can't let how the third set went, we can't, you know, be a little energy back off,

00:38because this is a team you can't do everything, so, yeah.

00:42You made your league championship. How does it feel that you're one minute away from doing that,

00:47and what's it going to take the final to get?

00:50Yeah, I mean, I'm just grateful for this journey, and I'm just really proud the team to even be in the finals.

00:55But that being said, it's not over. This win doesn't matter. It's still, you know, best two out of three,

01:01so we can't get ahead of ourselves and, you know, think, oh, championship,

01:06because as soon as we start doing that, it's going to get taken away,

01:09so we have to stay grounded and present and continue to focus.

01:12Like, even though we want, there's a lot of things we need to work on, so, I mean, we only got a day,

01:17so, I guess, visualize as much as possible. So, yeah, it's, it's, yeah, it's not over at all, so.
