Petro Gazz nears All-Filipino title  Petro Gazz closes in on its first PVL All-Filipino Conference title after holding off defending champion Creamline in Game One of the Finals, 25-17, 25-20, 18-25, 20-25, 15-10 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on April 8, 2025. Stumbling in the third and fourth sets, the Angels regained their mojo in the decider with MJ Phillips scoring three straight points to kickstart their fifth set attack and Aliza Maizo-Pontillas capping it with a block kill. Brooke Van Sickle finished with 24 points on 21 attacks, two blocks, and one ace to lead the Angels who may close out the series on April 10. 00:23hands on the team that they're just going to roll over and give up, so they definitely came out fighting big time in the third, and basically like punched us, and we kind of were like, oh, what's happening?

00:33But, so it took us a little bit to get back on track, and get the energy going again, so I thought, you know, our captain Rem did a very good job talking to the team to calm us down.

00:44Honestly, I thought MJ did a fantastic job, too. She was like basically a sparkler, and she was cheering, screaming, kept telling us, hey, just one point at a time, and everything.

00:52So, I feel like she definitely helped big time with our momentum changes, so good job.

00:59Honestly, my teammates, I just kept looking them in the eye, and I was just like, you guys got me, I got you the whole entire time.

01:06It's 15 points, but I took every point, and it's like, it was my last, so, I mean, my team had my back, and that's why I was able to just do whatever I could do on the floor.
