00:21The Prime Minister is heading into day 12 of the campaign,
00:25buoyed by the results of the first leaders' debate where the audience declared him the victor.
00:30The debate largely played out on well-worn political territory for both leaders.
00:35The Prime Minister stuck to the lines we've heard this campaign.
00:38Inflation is down, wages are up and interest rates are starting to fall.
00:42There were a lot of questions allowing Labor to tread on comfortable ground like healthcare and education
00:48and Labor believes that isn't just good luck, that's a sign their message is cutting through with voters

01:02and her Medicare card when going to the doctor.

01:14Today at his press conference the Prime Minister was also questioned
01:17about the Coalition's gas reservation policy modelling
01:20which says power bills will come down and asked whether his energy policies would bring down prices.
01:26These people think that the Australian public are like goldfish, that they don't remember.
