Step back into the heart of the African jungle with Tarzan Escapes (1936) — the thrilling sequel to Tarzan and His Mate and the third installment in MGM’s iconic Tarzan film series. Starring Johnny Weissmuller as the vine-swinging jungle hero and Maureen O’Sullivan as the beloved Jane, this classic black-and-white film is packed with danger, romance, and high-stakes excitement.

📽️ Directed by Richard Thorpe, this film combines wild landscapes, perilous chases, and the primal instincts of one of cinema’s most enduring characters. It's a timeless tale of survival and love in the most untamed of environments — and a must-watch for any vintage movie lover or Tarzan fan.

📖 Plot Summary:
In Tarzan Escapes, we find Jane living peacefully with Tarzan in the jungle, far from civilization. But her relatives — Eric Parker and Rita Parker — arrive from England with an expedition team to bring her back to “civilized” society. They are accompanied by the manipulative Captain Fry, who has his own hidden agenda: to capture Tarzan and profit from displaying him in a zoo.

Fry’s plan includes betrayal, traps, and even a caged imprisonment of Tarzan. However, with the help of his jungle friends and unmatched instincts, Tarzan escapes captivity and sets off on a daring rescue mission. He fights crocodiles, swings across dangerous ravines, and thwarts every obstacle that threatens him and Jane.

The jungle becomes a battleground between freedom and greed, love and ambition. As Tarzan proves time and again, the call of the wild cannot be silenced — and no one can cage the King of the Jungle for long.
