00:00In other news, a volcano erupted almost an hour ago this morning.

00:06Residents are being prepared by the Office of Civil Defense

00:09if the volcano's situation can be raised to Alert Level 4.

00:13Ron Lagusan is in the center of the news.

00:17In this video, you can see the strong eruption of volcano Canlaon this morning.

00:23According to PheVox, this is not considered a major eruption,

00:27but an explosive eruption.

00:29PheVox explains that this happened because sulfur dioxide emissions

00:34and volcanic earthquakes were low.

00:52Canlaon volcano erupted almost an hour ago

00:55that started at 5.51 a.m. and lasted until 6.47 a.m.

00:59where its plume reached 4 kilometers.

01:03According to the Department of Social Welfare and Development,

01:06as of 8 a.m., more than 2,600 families or more than 8,200 individuals

01:11are currently staying at the 22nd Evacuation Center.

01:15DSWD is continuing to monitor if this number can be added

01:19because of what happened.

01:21According to PheVox, there is a possibility that this will continue

01:24until the volcano reaches Alert Level 3.

01:27Our possible scenario here would be...

02:05and will come out of the crater like what happened in Mayon Volcano.

02:11and lower the volcano to Alert Level 2.

02:17if the situation in Canlaon rises to Alert Level 4

02:20where the danger zone will be extended to 10 kilometers.

02:23In addition, 9,000 families or 90,000 individuals need to be evacuated.
