This moment from No Way Home was perfect. I've praised the ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home before; it's a perfect conclusion to the movie. The screenplay states he's in a new red and blue suit, new for him, but reminiscent of suits we've seen before. This reflects Peter's entire situation in the MCU right now. Currently, Peter Parker is at square one. He has no safety net, only himself to rely on. This is new to him as a character, but it's similar to versions of the character we've come to know from previous iterations. Peter's journey going forward will feel familiar when compared to the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield films. He's no longer an Avenger with Iron Man and Doctor Strange on speed dial. Now, it's Spider-Man's time to become the hero he always wanted to be, not the one any of his mentors were guiding him to become. This is perfectly reflected in the final words of the screenplay: he has a newfound sense of freedom, liberated from having to juggle two lives. Peter Parker is no more, but Spider-Man lives on. This is honestly just the perfect way to wrap up this trilogy. It must be tough for Spider-Man to carry all of Phase 4. The MCU really did a great job making this film feel like a Spider-Man movie, not just because it brought back the previous villains, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield, but also because it took Tom Holland's Spider-Man out of the shadow of other superheroes, specifically Iron Man. The entire Spider-Man trilogy we've seen so far was nothing more than a big origin story. The ending of No Way Home was exactly what the character needed. I'm glad the MCU realized what needed to be done. Now, let's see what happens with this character in Avengers: Doomsday, because, from what it seems, it's going to be another multiverse film bringing Andrew and Tobey back. But what do you think?
