The Trump administration has removed General Timothy Haugh, head of the National Security Agency and US Cyber Command, according to the BBC. Haugh recently testified on a Signal messaging leak unrelated to his firing. Haugh’s removal followed a meeting between Trump and Laura Loomer, who urged him to fire staff she viewed as disloyal. Trump denied Loomer influenced the decision but said he would continue removing staff he deems disloyal. At least three other National Security Council officials were also dismissed.
