00:00Yeah, well, it's I mean his his facial hair was weird and he
00:08Like and it helped a lot. I think it helped both of us be like, oh
00:14But I remember vividly we were at this bar, I think it was called satellite
00:18Satellite bar in Wilmington. That's like the place we always went to and I was there
00:24with Mike and Brett Brett and I view the screenwriter and
00:28Alexander showed up. It was like it was daytime definitely because there was so much sunshine everywhere
00:33And I remember he walked into the bar. It was kind of like an indoor-outdoor bar and he walked in and
00:39he was wearing a white t-shirt and white shorts and white Converse and
00:45he just looked like a god like he was so tall and handsome and
00:50He had this big open smile on his face
00:54and I was like
00:56Like how can that be Ron?
00:59and then
01:01the
01:03transformation
01:04like the transformation like just into this
01:09Character, I don't know. I I've just like blown away by him
01:13I mean, I've been a fan of his for a long time
01:16but like seeing what he did with this character and just God how he just like it was so effortless and
01:24And like I think he really cared for Ron and he made a comment in an interview about how
01:31Mike he really knew that Mike would take good care of Ron and I don't know
01:35It was really it gave me a lot of compassion towards him. And I know that in the movie
01:41It doesn't seem like Janice has much compassion for her husband. I mean she doesn't but like I
01:49Think I think Janice is like jealous of him
01:53That he can
01:55So easily explain it away and in and so easily like find this outlet
02:02For himself, and I think that's what she's looking for clearly, but he just gets it and she doesn't get it
02:11But
02:12Yeah, it was hard not to
02:15Like in those scenes not to be more compassionate towards this character
02:21Because I did see him as such a big love and Alex such a love
02:25Yeah, I think you know, I think like a lot of I think a lot of couples grow apart
02:32I mean, I don't know
02:33I I think what happens to Ron and Janice is a testament to sort of like a lack of foundation in a relationship
02:42and
02:44So I think that's pretty clear and I think that a lot I don't know if you have kids
02:51but like there's so much like
02:54Just like a train that's like going down a track when you have kids that
02:58You like are like you have this thing that you're always dealing with that. You're always talking about you're always
03:06like managing and
03:08Things pop up that you have to deal with constantly and I think that like when that is taken away, you know
03:14Usually it's like the empty nest that we hear about and talk about like what is left like what is in this space?
03:21That was once you know, not just taken up by a human but by activities
03:26and so I think
03:28Probably Janice and Ron like we didn't really I don't have a memory anyway of us like breaking down a backstory
03:34But I imagine that they were dating and it was like well we date or we break
03:38I mean we get married or we break up now like now what you know, Mike had that plan from
03:43second one, um
03:45well
03:47I think that
03:49uh, I think Janice was free of
03:53Of trying to get over it. I
03:55I don't know. I I think that the end of the movie is about how there is no end to grief and pain
04:02and you can't tie it up with a bow and
04:05Like you go on
04:07But I don't know if you move on
04:09I I think like I had a hard time. I loved shooting it and I love it visually
04:15But when we were making the movie and leading up to this
04:18I always had a hard time with like but what what what and you know what like sometimes there are no answers like
04:25There was no answers for Judy Greer
04:29To figure it out and that's like
04:31And that's like so meta because then i'm like, oh because it's about how sometimes there's no answers
