Volunteer teachers, Indigenous children cross rivers, walk trails to go to school

Eliza Mae Dela Pena and Jocelyn Ocampo, volunteer teachers of Katutubo Elementary School, pass through rivers, muddy and rocky trails, along with the Katutubo and Dumagat children belonging to the Manide tribe living in Tabas, Paracale town to go to 'Paaralan Bato' (Stone School) for twice a week classes under the coconut trees if they could not go the Katutubo Elementary School for regular lesons. 'Paaralan Bato' was named as such because of the rock formations, which children use as during their class.
