00:00The Philippine contingent is now on its way to Myanmar
00:04to help with the humanitarian and disaster response
00:07after the magnitude 7.7 earthquake hit the area.
00:11The Department of Foreign Affairs also assured the help to the Filipinos

00:23The number of Filipinos unaccounted or missing in Myanmar
00:28after the magnitude 7.7 earthquake hit the area on Friday.
00:32According to Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega,
00:35the Filipinos most affected in Mandalay
00:38are the ones closest to the epicenter of the earthquake.
00:41Most of the Filipinos working there are teachers,
00:44office workers, and travel agents.
00:46According to de Vega, some Filipinos are also asking for help.
00:51The Filipinos asking for assistance
00:54We are not hurt, but maybe we need to move to another place
00:58or we may lose our jobs.
01:00The financial assistance is asking for authorization
01:05from our embassy that we will give over $100,000
01:09for the expenses for the needs of our countrymen.
01:15The Philippine contingent is now on its way to Myanmar
01:18to help with the humanitarian and disaster response efforts.

01:28So far, no Filipinos have been hurt or injured

01:33No one is asking for repatriation from Myanmar and Thailand
