Transcript
00:00I live in Asheville, Tennessee, but I was born and raised in Haleiwa, Hawaii.
00:04Growing up here definitely shaped a lot who I am as a person.
00:07My dad grew up playing music, and my mom, she grew up singing opera and jazz,
00:11and they both met in Motown and decided to start this family band that teaches all music.
00:16Family represents everything. We went through a lot of loss.
00:20When my father passed, man, it was really sudden.
00:22There was no signs of anything, and he just went to sleep and didn't wake up.
00:25For a while, man, I didn't know how to feel things.
00:27But because of the tool and the beauty of music that he gave me,
00:30it allowed me to process all those things and use it as a way to bring light into the world.
00:36This song I'm going to sing for you guys is called My Last Dying Breath.
00:40I wrote this for my beautiful wife.
00:42She's the strongest woman I know, so I hope you guys enjoy it. It goes a little like this.
00:45Let me carry your weight on my shoulders
00:50Let me carry it over and over
00:54Till it's nothing
00:58Till it's nothing
01:02Till it's nothing
01:06Till it's nothing left
