00:00How are you, KRS-P?
00:03In this episode of WOW, we will talk about the benefits of wellness and well-being.
00:09In particular, we will talk about our mental health.
00:12We will be joined by the multi-awarded life coach of the city, Coach Mike.
00:16Good morning, Coach.
00:18Good morning, Dianne, and good morning, KRS-P.
00:22Every Friday, it's all about life and wellness.
00:25Add knowledge for yourself to take care of yourself.
00:28I am Coach Mike Ceres.
00:29As part of National Women's Month,
00:32in our second episode of WOW,
00:34Coach Mike will give some popular myths or opinions
00:38that are related to the perception of women,
00:41that are related to the workplace or the place where we work.
00:45So, self-care for working women.
00:47Yes, Dianne.
00:49We will explain it to you through WOW, if you agree.
00:53And of course, if we disagree with those sayings or opinions,
00:58we will give you the reasons why this is WOW or OW.
01:02So, let's go.
01:04Correct.
01:04And we also have RSP Barkada to answer if it's WOW or OW.
01:10If they agree or disagree.
01:12And of course, let's start with myth number one
01:15about women in the workplace.
01:18This one.
01:19Women at work are too sensitive or moody.
01:24RSP Barkada, is it WOW or OW?
01:28Do you agree that women at work are too moody or sensitive?
01:34So, all of them answered.
01:37I was wondering why Meiji was in the middle.
01:42Because sometimes, she's not sure.
01:44So, everybody said OW.
01:46Actually, I also said OW, right, Coach Mike?
01:47Yes, there you go.
01:48But we also have questions from the audience.
01:52So, RSP, let's go to the audience and ask our WOWs,
01:58Gretchen Gongob, what's her opinion.
02:02Let's see.
02:05For me, it's WOW because it's also dependent on our cycle.
02:10So, it's really moody often.
02:12Especially at work, I don't know.
02:15Actually, Gretchen also has a point.
02:19We, as women, have a monthly period.
02:23It's not limited to our sex.
02:25And sometimes, there are hormones to work in.
02:28It's true.
02:29And I lose instinct in place.
02:30So, how will you reconcile this?
02:31For me, on that note, Dianne, it's OW.
02:34Because given that premise,
02:36there are things that we don't know that women might go through.
02:41It's just a coincidence.
02:42The question here is, why are we stereotyping them?
02:45Ah, okay.
02:47So, we should remove the bias, the stereotype,
02:50and focus on the fact that women have periods.
02:52Sometimes, when they're pregnant, they also experience it.
02:54Yes, correct.
02:54But they're going through something outside of work.
02:57So, we should know the truth before we judge them.
03:00Sometimes, it's generalizing.
03:03Correct.
03:03Everyday, you're pregnant again.
03:05So, let's debunk stereotypes.
03:06That's correct.
03:07Now, let's move on to myth number two.
03:10Do women deserve to say no in the workplace if necessary?
03:14OW or WOW, RSP Barkada?
03:16Do we deserve to say no?
03:17I think I'll go with WOW.
03:22Yes, if you want to answer to WOW,
03:26you can say no.
03:27Yes, but now, let's hear what our WOW friend,
03:32Kresha, has to say.
03:33Let's hear it from Kresha.
03:37WOW, since every woman has her own, especially in the workplace,
03:41during breaks or after hours,
03:43it's not included in the workload.
03:45So, it's just setting boundaries for them.
03:48Everybody answered WOW.
03:50That's right.
03:52That's right, right?
03:53Regardless if it's in the workplace or not,
03:55we all have the right to have boundaries, right?
03:59It's not always against our core values
04:02or if we feel that it's offensive to us,
04:03it's okay to say no.
04:04And it does not make you less of a person.
04:07Please understand that.
04:07That's right.
04:08Alright, myth number three.
04:09Let's take a look.
04:10This is our myth number three.
04:12A woman who has a work-life balance
04:15is definitely a WOW.
04:16You, RSP Bargada.
04:19WOW or OW?
04:20There.
04:21WOW.
04:22Okay, let's hear what our WOW friend,
04:25Zary Padilla, has to say.
04:29For me, WOW,
04:30like for example,
04:31there's a mom who can take care of everything
04:34and work.
04:36It seems like we're all in unison.
04:38Yes, of course.
04:39We all have the right to do that.
04:41And work is not life when we remember that.
04:44Whether it's a woman or a man,
04:47you also have the right to have life outside of work balance.
04:50Also, a lot of working women have families.
04:53Yes.
04:54They can manage everything.
04:55It's also their priorities.
04:57Alright.
04:58Let's move on to our last myth.
05:00And this is it.
05:01There are men-only conversations
05:04when it comes to workplace or work.
05:07I'm curious to know what Daniela and Audrey will say.
05:10RSP Barkada, WOW or OW?
05:12There are men-only conversations when it comes to work.
05:13I'll go for OW.
05:17Oh, okay.
05:18We're all in unison.
05:20There.
05:21Here's the answer from our WOW friend,
05:23Josephine Bavaran.
05:25Let's hear it.
05:28It's disagree.
05:30Because in the workplace,
05:31there should be inclusivity.
05:33Everything should be equal.
05:35Coach Mike.
05:36Inclusivity and diversity,
05:39this is very important.
05:41At the end of the day,
05:42there's a responsibility.
05:43No matter what your gender is,
05:44you can have a responsibility that's good
05:46and can help your work.
05:48So, do not ever discriminate.
05:49I remember this,
05:50the break the glass ceiling.
05:52We've broken that in many instances in our workplace.
05:56We deserve a seat on the table.
05:58Correct.
05:59And like I said,
06:00everyone deserves to be heard,
06:01seen, felt, and celebrated.
06:03Thank you so much, Coach Mike.
06:06Our award-winning coach of the country
06:07debunked some popular myths
06:10and misconceptions about women
06:12when it comes to our workplace.
06:14Hey, KRS-P,
06:15we should always remember
06:17that we should always make our lives a WOW
06:19if there's a WOW,
06:20don't get confused
06:21because our wellness and well-being,
06:23especially our mental health,
06:25matter.
