ماہ رمضان برکتیں اور رحمتیں بانٹتے ہوئے ہم سے رخصت ہو رہا ہے۔ رمضان کا آخری عشرہ بخشش یعنی جہنم کے عذاب سے نجات حاصل کرنے کا عشرہ ہے۔ اس پورے مہینہ خشوع و خضوع کے ساتھ عبادت کرنی چاہیے لیکن رمضان کے آخری عشرے میں ایک رات ایسی بھی ہے جس سے متعلق کہا گیا ہے کہ یہ رات ہزار ماہ سے افضل ہے۔ اس رات رحمتوں و برکتوں کا نزول ہوتا ہے ۔ یہ شب شب قدر ہے۔سیدنا ابو ہریرہ سے مروی ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم نے فرمایا :
جس شخص نے شب قدر میں اجر و ثواب کی امید سے عبادت کی اس کے سابقہ گناہ معاف کر دئے جاتے ہیں۔
امام قرطبی فرماتے ہیں:
علما کا شب قدر کی تعین کے بارے میں اختلاف ہے لیکن اکثریت کی رائے یہی ہے کہ لیلۃ القدر کی رات ستائیسویں شب ہے۔“
The blessed month of Ramadan is bidding us farewell as it departs. The last ten days of Ramadan are the days of forgiveness—a time to seek liberation from the torment of Hell. Throughout this entire month, worship should be performed with humility and devotion, but in the final ten days of Ramadan, there is a night about which it is said that it is better than a thousand months. On this night, blessings and mercy descend abundantly. This is the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr).
It is narrated from Syedna Abu Hurairah (R.A) that the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Whoever stands in worship on the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr) with faith and hope in reward, their previous sins will be forgiven."
Imam Qurtubi states:
"Scholars differ regarding the exact determination of the Night of Decree, but the majority opinion is that Laylat al-Qadr falls on the 27th night."
