00:00We have been seeing some aggressive actions by the Chinese, but we are capable of handling
00:06these in the best suitable way.
00:09Pakistan could take advantage of that and create some trouble for us, but in fact, they
00:14may suffer heavy losses should they attempt any misadventure."
00:17China's economic cooperation with Pakistan, in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, along
00:37with continued military, economic and diplomatic support, mandates high levels of preparation
00:44by us.
00:45At the same time, this also poses the threat of coordinated action along the northern and
00:52western fronts, which we have to consider in our defence planning.
00:56Therefore, considering the threat from our northern and our western borders, we have
01:02devised strategies to deal with the primary front, depending on which front we wish to
01:08address as being primary, considering the other front as secondary.
01:14We have earmarked forces for that, and we have conceptualized our strategies to deal
01:20with such threat scenarios emerging on both our borders.
01:24We have our protocols in the way we want to ensure peace and tranquility along the borders.
01:30We have our border management protocols, which have been signed between us and China right
01:36from 1993 onwards, and we have modified these protocols continuously.
01:41Out of late, we have been seeing some aggressive actions by the Chinese, but we are capable
01:48of handling these in the best suitable way.
01:51We have our tri-services, that is the army, navy and air force, capable of dealing with
01:57our threats along our frontiers.
01:58Pakistan has been launching proxy war and sponsoring, training, arming and equipping
02:05terrorists on their soil, which they keep infiltrating into a state of Jammu and Kashmir.
02:12They have also tried to expand the terrorism into other regions of our country.
02:18So, we find the threat from there will mainly be in the form of proxy war, but should any
02:24threat develop along the northern borders, Pakistan could take advantage of that and
02:29create some trouble for us on the northern borders.
02:32And therefore, we have taken adequate precautions to ensure that any such misadventure by Pakistan
02:39is thwarted and they are not able to succeed in their mission.
02:43But in fact, they may suffer heavy losses should they attempt any misadventure.
