00:00Welcome, Commander.
00:14The Australian Defence Battle Group, one of the first divisions that were able to beat
00:19back the Blitzkrieg at Tobruk and El Alamein.
00:24This battle group specialises in creating a defensive frontline position with logistical
00:29support at the rear to create a strong economy.
00:33Once supply lines have been established, you'll be able to take on the Axis forces with superior
00:39range and firepower.
00:42The Australian Defence Battle Group is split into Logistical Supremacy and Frontline Defenders.
00:48Let's take a look at Frontline Defenders first.
00:52The Australian Light Infantry is a five-man squad equipped with Lee-Enfield rifles.
00:58Like infantry sections, they can be upgraded with Scopes rifles.
01:04This squad performs well at long ranges, and with their sharpshooter ability, they can
01:08increase their accuracy for a short time.
01:11There'll be no time for lollygagging as this squad is capable of constructing field
01:17defences and emplacements, including the durable Sangar wall to hide behind.
01:23Australian Light Infantry can hold the line, but they are not equipped with grenades or
01:28anti-tank weaponry.
01:30But we've got just the thing for that.
01:33The Two-Pounder is a light anti-tank gun.
01:36It's quick to fire, fast to reload, with a decent firing arc.
01:41At Veteran C1, the ability to target weak points becomes available, slowing the target
01:47vehicle hit and disabling its weapons for a short time.
01:53Effective tactics grants your Sappers and Australian Light Infantry the tools needed
01:58to build the 17-Pounder and Bofors emplacements.
02:03The emplacement for the 17-Pounder is massive, but if you're able to find a clearing for
02:09one, then you won't have any trouble penetrating even the thickest armour from afar.
02:15Whilst the Bofors can provide adequate anti-air coverage to shoot down enemy aircraft, it's
02:21also effective against infantry and light armour.
02:26Hold the Line is a defensive ability that bolsters the defence of your emplacements,
02:30team weapons and base buildings.
02:33This reduces the incoming damage as well as a small heal over time.
02:38Find yourself under heavy artillery fire?
02:41Then hold the line!
02:44The Over-Repair ability allows your Sappers to repair vehicles past their maximum health
02:49values, enough to potentially shrug off an extra shell from a medium tank.
02:55That can be enough to get your tank to safety for another round of repairs, and then back
02:59into action for another tour of combat.
03:03Switching over to Logistical Supremacy, you'll find abilities that help strengthen your economy.
03:10The CWT Supply Truck Run is a new mechanic which collects fuel or munitions from resource
03:15points.
03:17Activate this ability by clicking on a resource point, and then a supply truck will drive
03:22to that location.
03:23Once there, it will take some time to load the cargo, and then make its way back to add
03:28the resources to your stockpile.
03:31The amount of resources you earn is based on the distance between the sector control
03:35point and the headquarters.
03:38The further you go, the more you get, and the more dangerous it will be.
03:43The enemy will be alerted to the presence of your supply truck, so defend it at all
03:48cost.
03:49If the enemy destroys it whilst it's carrying supplies, they'll steal the cargo.
03:56Reinforced Resource Caches provides cheaper and sturdier caches, perfect for locations
04:02where you are already focusing a strong defense.
04:07A new construction option becomes available with Artillery Tripwire Flares.
04:12These can be planted near sector control points for a small amount of munitions.
04:17When the enemy trips the wire, a flare will reveal the surrounding area, and a single
04:22artillery shell will strike, letting them know these are our resources.
04:29Charged Creeping Barrage designates a line of shellfire from point A to B.
04:34This type of barrage was often used as a shield for advancing infantry, but it works great
04:39against any established enemy front-line positions.
04:42You'll need your supply routes in check, because this will cost you a heavy amount
04:46of munitions.
04:48The Archer Tank Destroyer has arrived.
04:52This tank destroyer is equipped with the 17-pounder.
04:55It's got range, it's got firepower.
04:58When it's stationary and out of combat, the first shot against its target will have increased
05:03accuracy, penetration and damage.
05:07With its great reverse speed, it can quickly deploy, take a shot, and then reposition to safety.
05:16The Australian Defense Battle Group has excellent defensive capabilities and equipment that
05:20hits from afar, but they also paint large targets on their back.
05:25You'll need to use everything you've got to protect your supply trucks, keep your emplacements
05:29firing and fuel your war.
