The Lenovo Legion Go S is the gaming handheld many have been waiting for. That’s because Lenovo’s new device is the first non-Steam Deck handheld that runs on SteamOS. Combine that with the power of the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme or AMD Ryzen Z2 Go chip, and you have all the right pieces for what could be the best handheld gaming consoles yet.

In this video, Tony goes hands-on with the Lenovo Legion Go S — and gives you a first look at the upcoming Lenovo Legion Go 2!

00:00What's going on guys Tony here with Lenovo at CES 2025 and I'm here to show you something very special something
00:06I'm very excited about the Lenovo Legion go s. Alright, so let's go over some of the specifics
00:11So this is running on Steam OS right out of the box
00:13You don't have to mess around with Windows 11, which is something I've been asking for if you've seen some of our previous videos
00:18You know, that's always been a big complaint of mine as for some of the changes
00:21This is a unibody design. Whereas the previous Lenovo Legion go you get to attach the controllers. You don't do that with this one
00:27It's just one full console. One other cool design feature is that you have trigger locks on the back
00:33So if you're playing FPS, you can have like short actuation
00:36But if you're playing a racing game
00:37You can just press it down a nice number of ports SD card slot if you want to add more memory more games
00:44You get a 16 by 10 aspect ratio 120 Hertz refresh rate
00:48which is really really good and inside you get two options for processors the new Z to go chip and
00:55Z1 extreme to Z1 extreme is the same chip that was in a previous model first at $4.99, which is like fantastic
01:01But if you want you could actually upgrade it to the Z1 extreme
01:04Which is also the same chip in the previous model and you could also get 32 gigs of RAM and one terabyte of storage
01:10So a lot of upgrade options this right here is the Windows 11 version of the Lenovo Legion go s
01:16Same design as the one we just looked at only it's in white
01:19But other than that, it's just running on Windows 11, but you could also configure it with the Z 2 chip Z 1 extreme
01:26All right, last but not least. We got the Legion go to this a prototype not finalized yet
01:32But there's a lot of really cool things happening here. First. We got an OLED panel
01:35Which is gonna make games look absolutely fantastic on the 8-point inch display detachable controllers like before right here
01:41The power button is actually a fingerprint reader. And if you're a fighting game guy like me got a upgraded D pad
01:47It's 8-way not instead of 4-way so you can do your shoryukens your spinning lariats with ease
01:52It also has this kind of like silky kind of texture which feels really really nice to hold if your hands get tired
01:59You got kickstand here pop it on the desk. Keep playing a lot of really cool stuff coming from Lenovo
02:05I'm a big handheld guy as you know, so I cannot wait to dive into this thing
02:10So obviously I'm excited, but I want to know what you have to say
