00:00The Queen of Mecca, the Qadina of life, the soul of Mecca, Medina,
00:07This human being makes man.
00:14Viewers, today we are talking about the torment of the grave.
00:17And after the conversation that has reached till now,
00:20only one question arises in the mind,
00:23that so much torment has been told, so many things have been told about it.
00:27So what are those deeds that can keep us safe from the torment of the grave?
00:34Mufti sahab, I would like to know in detail about this.
00:37In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
00:39First of all, as the Prophet has explained in the answers to the questions,
00:45that the Muslims, God willing, will answer.
00:48The one who leaves on the path of faith, God willing, will be successful.
00:51And the one who dies in the state of disbelief and polytheism,
00:54Or he will have a great desire that Allah has made him a Muslim.
00:59And then he becomes apostate on the basis of polytheism.
01:02He leaves Islam and goes out.
01:04So torment for them.
01:05So the first thing that is necessary to save from the torment of the grave,
01:09is to leave disbelief and come to faith.
01:12Or the state of faith that was created by the grace of Allah,
01:15to get it straightened.
01:18Although this is not called an action by us,
01:21We are already Muslims.
01:23But to try to be steadfast on it.
01:26To protect your thoughts and beliefs.
01:29Like these days on social media,
01:31There are so many schools of thought.
01:35That when a person listens to them,
01:37Sometimes the young generation,
01:39who did not get education from home,
01:41Who did not get the basics of religion,
01:43They sometimes go that way.
01:45And some of them, not everything is like that,
01:47But there are some who take it out of the circle of Islam.
01:50So it is very important that a person takes care of his faith.
01:54The second thing,
01:55The actions that we say in order,
01:57Allah has said,
01:58Fardh, Wajib, Sunnat-e-Muqada.
02:01Allah has commanded the Prophet.
02:03The jurists have made their categories.
02:05What were the things that were very important.
02:07They were proven from the Naqsh-e-Khutai.
02:09They were made obligatory.
02:10Then Wajib.
02:11Then Sunnat-e-Muqada.
02:12And just opposite of this,
02:14Haram, Makruh-e-Tahrimi and Ishaad.
02:17These six things are extremely important.
02:19Because three should be done.
02:21And three should be avoided.
02:23So if someone keeps the obligation,
02:25Wajib, Sunnat-e-Muqada,
02:27Then inshallah,
02:28He has completed one part of the protection from the torment of the grave.
02:32And the second,
02:33Haram, Makruh-e-Tahrimi and Ishaad.
02:35Then inshallah,
02:36By the mercy of Allah,
02:37It is expected that he will be protected from the torment of the grave.
02:40And then the more jaggery you put, the sweeter it will be.
02:43Then the more you follow Mustahabbat,
02:45Sunnat-e-Ghair-e-Muqada,
02:46The more the gravity and the spring is created in the grave.
02:49So that is why it is also necessary that a person should think carefully.
02:53What Allah has declared as Wajib, Sunnat-e-Muqada,
02:57Or just opposite of it.
02:58Learn their knowledge.
03:00After learning the knowledge,
03:01Then try to act on it.
03:03For that, a good environment is necessary.
03:05For that, there is courage, strength, and fighting.
03:07Then, inshallah,
03:08Successes will be achieved.
03:10Then after this,
03:11Generally,
03:12We take things.
03:14For example, Surah-e-Mulk.
03:16It is about the one who reads day and night,
03:19He will be protected from the torment of the grave.
03:21So, wherever there is a command to read,
03:23Remember,
03:24It means to read aloud.
03:26And with such a voice that your ears hear your voice.
03:29Listening and reading.
03:31These are two different things.
03:32Reading and listening.
03:34These are different things.
03:35When we read Taraweeh,
03:36There is a Qari,
03:37Who is Imam,
03:38And there is a Sami'a.
03:39So, no one says Qari.
03:41That is why this method is not inappropriate.
03:43It is not appropriate,
03:44That one person reads,
03:45And everyone listens.
03:46Blessings will definitely be achieved.
03:48There will be rewards too.
03:49But my Prophet,
03:50The virtues mentioned in the hadith,
03:52You and I cannot convert them into anything else.
03:56That you listen,
03:57Then you will get this virtue.
03:58Our Prophet has specified that.
04:00That will happen by reading.
04:01So, read it this way.
04:03Secondly,
04:04Do not hurt anyone.
04:05It is very important.
04:06This comes under obligatory.
04:08This comes under Haram, Makruh, and Tahrim.
04:10But,
04:11Hurting someone,
04:13Can cause a lot of torment.
04:16With your tongue,
04:17Hurting someone physically,
04:19Misusing your position,
04:22And putting people in jail.
04:24For 20-25 years.
04:26A person told me,
04:28That he misbehaved with someone in his position.
04:32He made such a case on him,
04:34That he went to jail for 25 years.
04:37He did the same to his brother,
04:38Two children.
04:39I have seen his old parents.
04:41They are 70 years old.
04:43They are going to jail.
04:45So, in this way,
04:46Sometimes,
04:47To remove our personal hatred,
04:49We keep hurting someone.
04:51To avoid all these things.
04:53In the end,
04:54The most important thing is,
04:55Tauba.
04:56Sometimes,
04:57We come towards good deeds.
05:00Which we call good deeds.
05:02Although, Tauba is also a very good deed.
05:04We say,
05:05Tell me some Nawafil.
05:06Tell me some Wazifa.
05:07Everything is about Wazifa.
05:09Husband is not in control.
05:10Wazifa.
05:11Child is disobedient.
05:12Wazifa.
05:13Teeth are painful.
05:14Wazifa.
05:15It is not forbidden to do Wazifa.
05:17But the Prophet,
05:18Did not say Wazifa for everything.
05:20He said deeds.
05:21To fight with yourself.
05:22So,
05:23The most important thing,
05:24Which we are not able to pay attention to,
05:25Is Tauba.
05:26At least,
05:27End your past sins.
05:29A person,
05:30Is paying interest.
05:31And he is going on Umrah every year.
05:33People's salaries are stopped.
05:34He is doing Umrah.
05:35After Hajj,
05:36Al-Hajj is very famous.
05:37Al-Hajj.
05:38People think,
05:39Hajji and Al-Hajj are different.
05:41Al-Hajj is the one who has done a lot of Hajj.
05:43Al-Hajji is the one who did it.
05:44Although,
05:45Al-Hajj is called Al-Hajj in Arabic.
05:46After becoming Al-Hajj,
05:48Continuously on his servants,
05:50If he is in the committee of the mosque,
05:52Then Imam,
05:53Khatib,
05:54Muazzin,
05:55And Khadim,
05:56No one is safe from his evil.
05:57Not everyone is like that.
05:58But,
05:59Who is.
06:00Tauba.
06:01On his past sins.
06:02If we have suppressed our trust,
06:03Suppressed inheritance,
06:05Occupied plots,
06:06Now,
06:07Even if you get married to lakhs of girls,
06:09Iftar for thousands,
06:11Food on footpath,
06:12Their epidemic is so much.
06:14Because,
06:15The evil of poor people,
06:16Curses,
06:17You are in peace.
06:18And,
06:19He is in torment.
06:20Continuously,
06:21All the troubles that will happen,
06:22It is possible that,
06:23All of them,
06:24Will turn into torment in grave.
06:25That's why,
06:26A person should,
06:27Come to Tauba.
06:28And,
06:29After that,
06:30Learn knowledge.
06:31And,
06:32Act according to it.
06:33Next question.
06:34Allama Liaquat Hussain Azari is present.
06:36Okay.
06:37There was a hint of death due to accidents.
06:40But,
06:41Now,
06:42It is increasing a lot.
06:43Whether,
06:44Earthquake,
06:45Or,
06:46Train,
06:47Or,
06:48Buses,
06:49Or,
06:50On other roads.
06:51Nowadays,
06:52You hear these news.
06:53In which,
06:54The human body,
06:55Becomes very dry.
06:56Or,
06:57Sometimes,
06:58If,
06:59It is burnt,
07:00Then,
07:01It becomes very dry.
07:02In such a situation,
07:03Allama Sahab,
07:04Please say something.
07:05See,
07:06When a person,
07:07Loses his soul,
07:08And,
07:09Death happens to him,
07:10Whether,
07:11He,
07:12Drowns somewhere,
07:13Like,
07:14Pharaoh,
07:15Was mentioned,
07:16And,
07:17On that,
07:18Qibla Mufti Sahab,
07:19Read Ayat-e-Karima,
07:20That,
07:21Although,
07:22His,
07:23Body,
07:24Was not,
07:25In the grave,
07:26Allah,
07:27Said,
07:28That,
07:29So,
07:30For,
07:31Those who come,
07:32To Allah,
07:33And,
07:34Allah,
07:35Said,
07:36That,
07:37Allah,
07:38Will,
07:39Punish him,
07:40In the same way.
07:41The same questions,
07:42Will arise,
07:43If,
07:44A person,
07:45Loses his soul,
07:46Or,
07:47If,
07:48A person,
07:49Burns,
07:50And,
07:51Dies,
07:52Or,
07:53If,
07:54An accident,
07:55Happens,
07:56Anywhere,
07:57Like,
07:58A bomb,
07:59Blasts,
08:00And,
08:01Allah,
08:02Said,
08:03That,
08:04The body,
08:05And,
08:06The soul,
08:07Are,
08:08Connected,
08:09With,
08:10Each other,
08:11In the same way,
08:12And,
08:13So,
08:14A,
08:15The body,
08:16And,
08:17The soul,
08:18Are,
08:19Connected,
08:20In the same way,
08:21A,
08:22The body,
08:23And,
08:24The soul,
08:25Are,
08:26Connected,
08:27In the same way,
08:28A,
08:29The body,
08:30After Waqf, we will come back. Allama Liaquat Hussain Azari will complete his answer.
08:35Please stay with us.
08:36Today we are talking about the torment of the grave. Allama Liaquat Hussain Azari will complete his answer.
08:43And I will repeat the question again that the mortality of the dead,
08:48in which the human body is completely dented and no effects are obtained,
08:55so in such a situation, you were talking about the torment of the grave.
08:58I would like you to complete your answer.
08:59See, if someone goes into an animal's stomach or anywhere, that is his grave.
09:05And with the help of Allah, his questions and answers will be felt in the same way.
09:11Secondly, the biggest thing is that these are all things,
09:15that we do not feel outwardly.
09:19One is outwardly, this is a grave.
09:21And one grave is that which we do not even know.
09:24Like you said that someone went into an animal's stomach,
09:27someone's insides flew away and someone's body was broken.
09:30There are many things that we do not see.
09:33For example, in today's world, we did not visit the Prophet,
09:37nor did we see Gabriel, but faith in the unseen is what we see.
09:43Similarly, about the life of a martyr,
09:46Allah says,
09:52In another place, Allah says,
09:56Allah says,
09:57Although the inheritance of a martyr also increases,
10:00his widow also gets married,
10:02all the commandments are fulfilled.
10:05But Allah says,
10:06His life, you are not aware of it,
10:09it is alive with his Lord and he is also given provision.
10:13So, this is such a faith in the unseen,
10:16that when a person leaves this world,
10:19in the world of barzakh,
10:21then what Allah and his Prophet have told us,
10:24that all these conditions will be there.
10:27A believer should remove his mind,
10:30and he should have faith,
10:32and he should prepare for it.
10:34That what are those things,
10:36that we should try to save our faith,
10:39and try to protect it.
10:41And what are the torments of the grave.
10:44Believers also have the torments of the grave.
10:47What are the things that can spoil our grave.
10:51We should try to avoid those conditions,
10:54which are the cause of the destruction of the grave.
10:56And those who illuminate the grave,
10:58we should try to adopt them.
11:00As the hadith has been read,
11:02that the Prophet of Allah said,
11:04that there are two types of graves,
11:07either a pit from the pits of hell,
11:10or a garden from the gardens of heaven.
11:13Now, it is our job,
11:15that how we make our grave,
11:17while living in this world,
11:19safe.
11:20In any way,
11:21if a person makes a will,
11:23that cut me into pieces,
11:25and put me in the air,
11:27still he will not be able to save himself,
11:30from the torments,
11:31and the rewards,
11:32and these things.
11:33We have talked about the grave,
11:35its torments,
11:36and its conditions.
11:38Now, we will talk about the manners of the graveyard.
11:42And we would like to know,
11:44what are the manners of the graveyard,
11:46and what is the method of rewarding.
11:48What do the scholars say?
11:50Allahumma Mufti Khurram Iqbal Rehmani.
11:53It is a beautiful question,
11:55and it is a lesson for us.
11:57Our religion has taught us,
11:59that when we bury our loved ones,
12:01our relationship does not end.
12:03In fact,
12:04just like there is a relationship in this world,
12:06even after death,
12:07our relationship remains.
12:08And it should be fulfilled.
12:10Huzoor said,
12:12I forbade you from visiting the grave,
12:14but now I allow you to go,
12:16and visit the grave,
12:18because visiting the grave,
12:20refreshes the memory of death.
12:22And then,
12:23the beautiful Sunnah of the Beloved Prophet,
12:26that he used to visit the rest of the people.
12:29He used to visit the graves of the martyrs of Uhud.
12:32And when he used to visit,
12:34he used to greet them regularly.
12:36So the first thing before visiting the grave,
12:39is that you should visit the grave,
12:41because Huzoor, peace be upon him,
12:43has given the permission to do so.
12:46When you go to the grave,
12:48the first manner which the Beloved Prophet,
12:50peace be upon him, taught,
12:52is to greet the people of the grave.
12:54Peace be upon you, O people of the grave.
12:56May Allah forgive us and you,
12:58and those who have gone before us,
13:00and those who will follow us.
13:02If I can't read the whole thing,
13:04then please say,
13:06Peace be upon you, O people of the grave.
13:08So you should greet the people of the grave.
13:10So Huzoor said,
13:12when you greet the people of the grave,
13:14they listen to you and answer you.
13:16When you greet the grave of a common believer,
13:18he also listens to you and answers you.
13:20So when you greet the beloved of Allah,
13:22he will also answer you.
13:24Then the Beloved Prophet, peace be upon him,
13:26when you go to the grave,
13:28you should go from the feet of the deceased.
13:30This is a mustahab.
13:32And you should stand facing the face of the deceased.
13:34When you go to the back of Baitullah Sharif,
13:36you should stand facing the face of the deceased.
13:38When you go to the grave of the deceased,
13:40you should not touch him.
13:42You should not touch him.
13:44In fact, you should stand at a distance.
13:46And you should recite
13:48the portion of the Holy Quran.
13:50So whatever worship we do,
13:52whether it is Fard or Nafl,
13:54recitation of the Holy Quran,
13:56or Furqan-e-Hameed,
13:58whatever worship we do for Allah,
14:00whether it is physical or financial,
14:02its reward can be given to the deceased.
14:04For example,
14:06when we pray for the deceased
14:08in the funeral,
14:10Allahumma ghafid li hayyina wa mayyitina
14:12wa shahidina wa ghaibina
14:14So in this prayer,
14:16we pray for the deceased as well as for the living.
14:18If the deceased does not benefit from the prayer of the living,
14:20then the prayer is not taught in this way.
14:22So the benefit of the prayer of the living
14:24is given to the deceased.
14:26Therefore, whatever good deeds,
14:28whether it is physical, financial,
14:30Fard or Nafl,
14:32its reward can be given to the deceased.
14:34We should pray to Allah that
14:36its reward can be given to the deceased.
14:38Now some people think that
14:40the reward we have given to the deceased
14:42means that we are deprived of the reward.
14:44This is not true.
14:46The reward we have given to the deceased
14:48is given to the deceased by Allah.
14:50The benefit of the reward
14:52is also given to the deceased in the grave.
14:54The Holy Prophet peace be upon him
14:56said that a person went to the grave
14:58with his sins,
15:00but when he will be picked up from the grave
15:02on the day of judgement,
15:04his sins will be forgiven.
15:06He will be surprised that where are my sins?
15:08The Holy Prophet peace be upon him
15:10will ask the angels where are my sins?
15:12The angels will say that you went to the grave
15:14with your sins,
15:16but your believer brother
15:18has forgiven his sins.
15:20There is a Hadith in which
15:22an incident of a person from Bani Israel
15:24was narrated that when he died,
15:26he was buried in the grave
15:28but his wife was pregnant.
15:30Then the child was born.
15:32When the child was taken to the school
15:34and when the child recited
15:36Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim,
15:38his father picked him up from the grave
15:40with the blessing of reciting
15:42Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.
15:44Then in another Hadith,
15:46the Holy Prophet peace be upon him
15:48said that when a believer dies,
15:50his deeds are over,
15:52but there are three things
15:54that he gets the reward for
15:56even after his death.
15:58One of them is that
16:00he gets the reward for
16:02giving charity,
16:04and the other is that
16:06he gets the reward for
16:08being a good son
16:10who prays for his parents.
16:12This is how we get the reward.
16:14This is how we get the reward.
16:16We would like to take a message
16:18from Allama Ilyaqat Hussain Azari.
16:20You gave a speech on the grave
16:22and all three scholars
16:24gave very good answers.
16:26Allama sahib,
16:28what would you like to say
16:30about today's topic,
16:32its sensitivity and importance?
16:34As it is mentioned in Hadith
16:36that the grave is the first
16:38destination of the hereafter,
16:40so we should prepare for our grave.
16:42And the commandments of Allah
16:44and His Messenger,
16:46and the commandment to
16:48avoid certain things.
16:50There are many things
16:52because of which
16:54it is said that
16:56a person does not receive
16:58the word of God
17:00when he dies.
17:02There are many deeds
17:04that when a person
17:06does them,
17:08he should take them with him
17:10and protect himself
17:12from such deeds
17:14that will cause him
17:16to die in the grave.
17:18Secondly,
17:20this life is only
17:22for four days.
17:24For the presence of Allah,
17:26a person should do
17:28good deeds
17:30and prepare for the hereafter.
17:32In our society,
17:34there is no discussion
17:36about these issues
17:38because of the
17:40public demand.
17:42We do not discuss
17:44these issues
17:46because of the
17:48public demand.
17:50For example,
17:52Musa read a hadith
17:54that a person should
17:56prepare himself
17:58for the grave and
18:00the hereafter.
18:02When we go to the graveyard
18:04of a person,
18:06there is a discussion
18:08about the market.
18:10There is a discussion
18:12about what is happening
18:14in the market.
18:16We are in this tension.
18:18We feel that
18:20we should remember
18:22the torment of the grave.
18:24Sometimes,
18:26religious scholars
18:28start discussing
18:30such things
18:32so that we can
18:34raise our voices
18:36and enjoy it.
18:38We need to
18:40train people
18:42and prepare them
18:44for the hereafter.
18:46The Prophet said that
18:48when this stage is easy,
18:50the stages of the hereafter
18:52will also be easy for them.
18:54I will say one thing
18:56about the graveyard.
18:58People keep their feet
19:00on the graves
19:02if they light a lamp.
19:04The Prophet said that
19:06the graveyard people
19:08are prone to fire.
19:10If they light a lamp
19:12on the graves,
19:14they will be a sinner.
19:16They will not benefit
19:18from the smoke.
19:20If they are good people,
19:22their graves will have
19:24heavenly air and fragrance.
19:26So, lighting a lamp
19:28and keeping your feet on the graves
19:30and insulting the graves
19:32like prostrating
19:34in front of the graves
19:36is very beautiful.
19:38You should stand at a distance
19:40and pray in the presence
19:42of Allah.
19:44O Allah!
19:46Forgive us
19:48for our sins
19:50and forgive
19:52our brothers
19:54for their sins.
19:56O Allah!
19:58Protect us
20:00from the torment of the grave.
20:02Qabla Mufti, what message
20:04would you like to convey
20:06regarding this important topic?
20:08The matter of the grave and the torment
20:10of the grave should be divided
20:12into two parts.
20:14One is the grave and the torment
20:16of the grave.
20:18One is what will happen to us
20:20and the other is our future generations.
20:22We should focus on these three.
20:24For those who have passed away,
20:26the best way to tell them is
20:28to pray for forgiveness and forgiveness
20:30and to send rewards abundantly.
20:32I request for a good reward.
20:34Make someone a scholar,
20:36make someone a Mufti,
20:38give religious books to the students
20:40and fund them.
20:42So that the scholars will come out
20:44and teach, make statements,
20:46write fatwas, make speeches,
20:48and make more scholars and Muftis.
20:50You will be rewarded abundantly.
20:52The graves of those who have passed away
20:54will be blessed abundantly.
20:56Secondly, do two things for yourself.
20:58First, do good deeds
21:00so that you will be saved from the torment of the grave.
21:02The second thing is,
21:04instead of staying up late,
21:06go out in the day time
21:08and get some advice.
21:10If you are not a coward,
21:12then go out in the afternoon
21:14and sit in the shade of a tree
21:16and look at the graves.
21:18How beautiful faces,
21:20how powerful people,
21:22how intelligent people,
21:24those who have the ability and skills
21:26are sitting in the graves.
21:28I will also come close to them.
21:30Then for your children,
21:32they will also go to the graves.
21:34May Allah not let them also have the torment of the grave.
21:36Do good deeds so that
21:38they remember death from the beginning
21:40and pay attention to the graves.
21:42Gradually, like a small child,
21:44as he grows up,
21:46he should develop a firm mind
21:48so that even if we leave,
21:50our children are not misguided
21:52and may Allah not make them
21:54heedless of the torment of the grave.
21:56Thank you very much, Mufti.
21:58May Allah bless you.
22:00Mufti Muhammad Iqbal Madani
22:02will be with us in the next segment.
22:04After the Fajr prayer,
22:06there is a special segment
22:08in which callers from all over the world
22:10participate with their questions.
22:12Mufti Sahab will provide the answers.
22:14Respected viewers, today we talked about the torment of the grave.
22:16The first stage of the hereafter
22:18is the grave.
22:20To prepare for it,
22:22when the fear of Allah will be in our hearts
22:24and the thought of the hereafter will be in front of us,
22:26we will certainly do those deeds
22:28that can save us from the torment of the grave.
22:30This is Darul Amal.
22:32Whatever we do in this,
22:34we will definitely do it in the hereafter.
22:36So, it is better
22:38that in these days and nights,
22:40we should make a firm resolve
22:42that Inshallah,
22:44in the hereafter,
22:46we will abstain from those things
22:48that can cause us the torment of the grave.
22:50And we will adopt those things
22:52that will give us comfort in the grave.
22:54The next segment
22:56is of Izaar-e-Qeedat.
22:58Today,
23:00Faiyaz Hashmi
23:02will be presented a tribute.
23:04His words will be included.
23:06And now, as much time as there is,
23:08I would like you to present your Izaar-e-Qeedat.
23:30Today,
23:32Today,
23:34I am
23:36waiting for you.
23:38Oh,
23:40I give you
23:42my whole
23:44life.
23:46I am
23:48in the fire.
23:50I am
23:52burning.
23:54I am
23:56in the fire.
23:58I am
24:00burning.
24:02I am
24:04burning.
