00:00They were forced to work, starve, and burn their passports.
00:04This is one of the crimes committed by Filipinos who were victims of human trafficking in Myanmar.
00:10And one of the victims was injured even though she was pregnant.
00:14J.P. Soriano is a witness.
00:20From the Philippines, some Philippine officials chartered a flight to Thailand
00:25to escort the Filipinos who were rescued from the scum hubs in Myanmar.
00:30The DFA and OWA are here to escort the more than 170 Filipino victims of human trafficking.
00:38They are the biggest batch that will be sent home this year.
00:45Because they were forced to go to Myanmar, their last stop in Thailand is still in Passport.
00:50And the record of overstaying is coming out.
00:53But they were allowed to leave immediately by boarding a chartered flight.
00:59Rose is one of them. Her name is not her real name.
01:03She told me that she was recruited by a messaging app to be a call center agent in Thailand.
01:11She was first flown to Hong Kong before being flown to Bangkok, Thailand, and boarded a boat to Myanmar.
01:18My husband and I were tortured in a room.
01:21We were given a snow food intake for almost a week.
01:25They are still being tortured, even though they know that Rose is pregnant.
01:30I was shot with a gun.
01:32Even though my husband and I are sorry for them, they are not laughing.
01:36They are still hurting us.
01:39His wife was also with them when Roy was recruited.
01:42Her name is also not her real name.
01:44But when they traveled to Myanmar, they were separated.
01:48I was shocked when I found out that I was separated from my wife.
01:53They also met each other after being sold by their Chinese employer in Myanmar several times.
02:01For no reason, the Chinese boss burned his passport.
02:06I feel sorry for them. I don't know what happened to me.
02:13We were sold to other parts of the world.
02:18The only reason they are going home now is because the scam factories are closing down.
02:25Because the Thailanders shut off the electricity and the internet.
02:30This is a trilateral cooperation with Thailand, Myanmar, and China.
02:36Some Filipinos are also in the scam hubs in Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos.
02:41But it's too late.
02:43They were all sent to Thailand.
02:46Although we can go to Thailand without a visa, it doesn't mean we can work in Thailand.
02:50So if they promise you jobs in Thailand, where will you go?
02:53We understand that they really need a job, but not in this way.
03:00When they returned to the Philippines, they were asked to swear an oath to sue their recruiter.
03:09They will also receive help from the government.
03:13For GMA Integrated News, J.P. Soriano is your witness.
03:19The PNP blocked Senator Bato de la Rosa's allegation that he left his security escort in Davao.
03:27He left on January 13, pursuant to the Comelec Resolution,
03:34in accordance with the protocol when it comes to the availability of security details.
03:39So it's not true that he just left.
03:43In fact, he forgot to mention to our esteemed Senator that...
03:50According to the PNP, there is no approved Certificate of Authority or Exemption for the two security personnel of de la Rosa in Davao.
03:59That's why he withdrew it.
04:01There are only four exemptions that will last until June 11, 2025.
04:05And according to the Comelec Resolution 11067,
04:10there are only two protective security personnel,
04:13which is the maximum security detail that the PNP should give during this election period.
04:17But it depends on the Comelec's assessment if it will be added.
04:21According to Senate President Jesus Gudero,
04:23the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate is ready to provide additional protection to de la Rosa in case he needs it.
04:33Six foreigners and a Filipino were arrested in a resort in Subic Bay due to a robbery.
04:41The Chinese corporation also investigated the incident.
04:45This is Oscar Oida.
04:51Five Chinese, a Cambodian, and a Filipino were faced with the media earlier.
04:57The NBI Cybercrime Division was arrested in an island resort in Subic Bay on March 19.
05:03They were able to get gadgets that can be obtained from U.S. Naval Vessels and other ships in the area.
05:10And it was believed that they were involved in a robbery.
05:14We recovered a piece of paper written in Chinese.
05:19And when translated, it says the date, time, and the ship that left and entered Subic Bay Port.
05:30There were also inquiries about the joint activities of our armed forces.
05:35There are resupply missions there.
05:37These are the surveillance photos that we recovered.
05:41We can see that there are cargoes that are being transported going inside our military base.
05:48The NBI is now in charge of getting those arrested out of the country.
05:54This is very disturbing. This is getting very alarming to all of us.
06:00The NBI is now working with the SBMA or Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority
06:05to investigate the Chinese corporation that is now operating in the island resort.
06:10And for the possible cancellation of the contract of the Chinese corporation over this territory,
06:21because this territory, this island may be exploited as an advantage point for ISR operations.
06:28The foreign nationals did not give their consent.
06:31But the Filipinos were with them.
06:34I'm their driver.
06:35How long have you been their driver?
06:37How long have you been their driver?
06:39I've been their driver for a long time.
06:41The suspects went deep into the inquest proceeding
06:44and are facing violation of the Espionage Law and other complaints.
06:49For GMA Integrated News, I'm Oscar Oidang.
06:53Succeed!
06:55A woman was arrested after she was caught smoking a drug in a New Bolivian prison.
07:01According to the Bucor, the suspect would have visited an inmate
07:04when they noticed that there was something strange about her body.
07:08There, it was discovered that the drug was injected into the condoms
07:13and then injected into the private part of her body.
07:16The suspect was turned over to the Montilupa Police
07:19while the contraband was brought to PDEA.
07:24One of Japan's newest warships, the JS Noshiro,
07:27is docked in Subic, Zambales.
07:29From Frigate Training in Australia,
07:31the multi-mission warship went straight to Subic for a three-day visit.
07:36The ship's flight deck is for a large chopper
07:39used in various missions.
07:41It also has a mounted gun in the front.
07:43Inside, there's a modern remote weapon system,
07:46underwater missile, anti-ship missiles, and surface-to-air missiles.
07:52It can also deploy or recover unmanned underwater vehicles
07:56and search for sea mines.
07:58According to the Philippine Navy,
08:00the visit showed a strong alliance between the Philippines and Japan,
08:05especially in their desire for a free and peaceful Indo-Pacific region.
08:10For GMA Integrated News, Ian Cruz is your witness.
08:15Social Weather Stations released the results of their
08:18last voter preference survey for the Senators.
08:21Let's take a look.
08:27In the Social Weather Stations survey commissioned by Stratbase Consultancy,
08:3113 names are on the list of possible Senators to win the election in 2025.
08:37These are Senator Bong Go, Representative Erwin Tulfo,
08:41Broadcaster Ben Tulfo,
08:43Former Senate President Tito Soto,
08:45Incumbent Senators Lito Lapid, Ramon Bongrevilla, and Pia Caetano,
08:49Former Senator Ping Laxon, Senator Bato Dela Rosa,
08:52TV Host Wilier Villamej,
08:54Makati Mayor Abby Binay,
08:56Former Senator Manny Pacquiao,
08:57and Congresswoman Camille Villar.
08:59Through face-to-face interviews,
09:021,800 registered voters in the country were asked
09:05who they would vote for as Senators
09:08if they will run for election during the survey.
09:11The survey was conducted from March 15 to 2025.
09:14The survey has a margin of error of plus-minus 2.31 percent.
09:20For GMA Integrated News, I'm Emil Sumangil, your witness.
09:25A new harassment from China was experienced by Philippine ships
09:29while distributing aid near Panatanshol.
09:33The tension escalated when China deployed inflatable boats
09:37that approached the Philippine fishermen one by one to rescue them.
09:41This is Jun Veneracion, your witness.
09:47While the ships of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources
09:51or BFAR were distributing in the direction of Panatanshol,
09:53on Monday morning,
09:56a Chinese warship suddenly appeared.
09:59They also have a warship that was not in the video,
10:01and it did not last long.
10:03One by one, the seven ships of the China Coast Guard came out.
10:07Philippine 3-0-0-9, this is China Coast Guard.
10:10First, reiterate, enter the coast and leave immediately.
10:14We will take strong action on you in accordance with the law.
10:19China Coast Guard 5-3-0-3, this is GRP Dato Balint Sosa, MMOV 3-0-0-9.
10:25You must take care of our route. Over.
10:29The four ships of BFAR and two from the Philippine Coast Guard
10:32were stopped by more and bigger ships of China.
10:36We are going to land.
10:38Sir, monitor, monitor.
10:41The 28 nautical miles of Panatanshol is in danger.
10:45It is just in time,
10:46because this is where they will meet the Philippine fishermen
10:49whom they will give aid.
10:51Even if we are afraid, what can we do?
10:53Of course, this is where we will live, in our family.
10:57While giving crude oil and other aid,
11:00the siren of the CCG Vessel 5-3-0-3 broke the silence of the loud sound.
11:11Aside from the bigger ships of China Coast Guard,
11:14they also deployed inflatable boats
11:17to get closer to the Philippine fishermen
11:21and escort them away from Panatanshol.
11:26The tension of the Philippine fishermen
11:29who are getting closer to the inflatable boats
11:31increased even more.
11:36The Philippine fishermen were chased away
11:38even if the Panatanshol is just 120 nautical miles away
11:41from the mainland Luzon,
11:43entering the 200 nautical miles Exclusive Economic Zone of the Philippines.
11:48While China is more than 400 nautical miles away.
11:52This is how it is always, sir.
11:54It's really painful, sir.
11:56That's why it's like this for us.
11:58The complaint of the Philippine fishermen
12:00is that they have been chasing them for a long time
12:02and China Coast Guard is not letting them get closer to the Panatanshol,
12:06which is known as a rich fishing port.
12:08It hurts us because we are not allowed to fish here.
12:13This is our place.
12:16We should be the ones escorting them.
12:18After the resupply mission,
12:20BFAR tried to conduct a maritime patrol
12:23to get closer to the Panatanshol.
12:25That's why even if Lim is being covered until it gets dark,
12:28the chase continues
12:30and China Coast Guard keeps an eye on BFAR boats.
12:34It's 7 in the morning, March 25,
12:37and the China Coast Guard Vessel 5303
12:41has not yet stopped
12:45from getting closer to the BRP Dato Balensusa that we are driving.
12:50Despite China's harassment,
12:52the Philippine fishermen were protected
12:56because of the deployment of the Philippine Coast Guard and BFAR vessels.
13:00They received a fuel subsidy.
13:02So I think this is a successful mission.
13:06Because China Coast Guard failed to keep up,
13:09BFAR did not try to get closer to the Panatanshol.
13:12But they will keep coming back
13:15to show that the Philippines is not giving up on the Panatanshol in China.
13:20For GMA Integrated News,
13:22your June Veneration, Saksi.
13:35The Office of the Prosecutor has already submitted
13:38to the defense team of former President Rodrigo Duterte
13:41the evidence that he is currently looking for cases in the International Criminal Court.
13:45In the exclusive interview of GMA Integrated News,
13:48to the speaker of the ICC,
13:50he explained about the interim release
13:53that the Duterte's company plans to ask for.
13:55Saksi, Marie Zumal.
14:01The priority of the former President Rodrigo Duterte's company
14:04is to get an interim release
14:07or temporary release from the International Criminal Court.
14:10In the exclusive interview of GMA Integrated News,
14:13the ICC spokesperson, Dr. Fadi L. Abdala, said
14:17that the mechanism of the interim release
14:19is to respect the principle of presumption of innocence.
14:22But if a suspect is arrested,
14:24there are things that the defense needs to show.
14:27That presumption of innocence means that the principle should be the freedom
14:32of the suspects and not their detention.
14:34When the judges issue an arrest warrant,
14:37that means that they believe that the arrest of this specific individual is necessary
14:41either because he or she are still committing crimes
14:44or because he or she would not appear before the court and cooperate with it
14:49if the court issued assumptions to appear and not an arrest warrant.
14:53Or because they believe that maybe without arresting this individual,
14:57they may be creating obstacles or threats to the proceedings,
15:01to the investigation or to the witnesses.
15:04So they have to justify that.
15:24An interim release can be requested
15:27if there is a possibility to put in place measures and conditions
15:32to ensure that if a person is released, none of that would happen
15:36and that this person will be brought again before the court if the judges order so.
15:42And that means that there is a different set of conditions that needs to be checked.
15:47These conditions are what the court will look at if it will follow.
15:51In the past cases, the movement of the suspect was limited.
15:55It was prohibited to meddle in the investigation.
15:57Witnesses were not allowed to speak and he was not allowed to make public statements.
16:05In the case of Duterte, his family wants him to return to the Philippines.
16:10Dr. Al-Abdallah said that it is important if the country allows the disappearance of a suspect
16:16that it can help and follow the conditions related to the interim release.
16:21Does this country accept this release?
16:24If the court is ordering certain conditions and measures to be put in place
16:29to ensure that he will not be in contact with this or that,
16:32that he will not be threatening the investigation,
16:34that he will be brought again before the court when the judges order,
16:38does the country accept these conditions and measures or not and so on?
16:44So as a matter of general principle,
16:47all these conditions and questions need to be discussed before the judges
16:53and judges will decide whether or not to grant an interim release with or without conditions as I mentioned.
17:03It is in the hands of the ICC judges where the country will give custody of the suspect.
17:08Now as a matter of principle, the ICC can enter into general agreements
17:14for interim release or for other purposes with different states,
17:19and also enter into ad hoc agreements with certain states for specific cases.
17:25One of the issues of Duterte's field is the way he was arrested.
17:29The ICC clearly stated that no matter how Duterte was arrested,
17:33he is now under the jurisdiction of the ICC.
17:36And the crimes that happened and that are being complained to him
17:40were committed by a part of the Philippines under the Rome Statute.
17:43So crimes allegedly committed during this period in Philippines
17:47were under the ICC jurisdiction and remain under the ICC jurisdiction.
17:52Meanwhile, the ICC Office of the Prosecutor stated that it was disclosed to the defense team of the former President
17:57the evidence related to the murder case he is facing as a crime against humanity.
18:02181 items were undisclosed by the prosecution on March 21,
18:06in accordance with the order of the ICC Pre-Trial Chamber 1.
18:10From The Hague, Netherlands, for GMA Integrated News, I am Mariz Umali, your witness.
18:17It is now in The Hague, Netherlands, where Hon. Avancena and Kitty Duterte
18:21visited the former President Rodrigo Duterte.
18:24They expressed their gratitude to all those who support the former President.
18:30According to Kitty, she wishes him good health
18:34for those who will celebrate the 80th anniversary on Friday, March 28.
18:4747 days before the election of 2025,
18:51those who run for senator continue to advance their platforms
18:56and their plans for culture, health, and agriculture.

19:55Senator Lito Lapid promotes agritourism in Bohol.
20:00The strong oversight function of the Congress was emphasized by Rodante Marcoleta.
20:04Increasing the income of farmers and fishermen is what Kipo Pangilinan is striving for.
20:10Increasing employment in the community is what Ariel Quiribin is calling for in a forum.
20:15Congresswoman Camille Villar promotes gender equality in Leyte.
20:20And additional funds to scholarships for nursing students were proposed by Ma'am Aquino.
20:26We continue to follow the campaign of running senators in the election of 2025.
20:31For GMA Integrated News, I am Marisol Abdurrahman, your witness.
20:38Senator Amy Marcos officially left the senatorial slate endorsed by her brother, President Bongbong Marcos.
20:46The senator said that there are steps that the administration has taken that are contrary to her principles.
20:53So she will no longer be able to run campaigns with other allies for the new Philippines.
20:58She will remain independent.
21:01Senator Marcos added that in the coming days, she will mention the steps of the administration that are contrary to her principles.
21:10And to the campaign manager who voted for Representative Toby Tiangco, they gave the decision of Senator Marcos.
