00:00So we're on the Crescent Road in Great Bar, Walsall on one side, Great Bar on the other.
00:07So we're out on the border here. Walsall have had their bins collected, but the residents of Great Bar haven't.
00:13So they were meant to be collected yesterday, they haven't been. As you can see, the bins are piling up outside the business.
00:19Our clothing, we cleaned it twice before, and now there's plenty more rubbish out there as well.
00:30If people get dirty there anyway, it doesn't affect our business as well.
00:34People think it's our rubbish, but it's not. We have our own contractors that take the rubbish away, like twice a week.
00:43It doesn't look nice at all. I've seen rubbish everywhere. It's affecting our business.
00:50So you've got your own contractors coming in to clean the bins, but have you seen people who live around here bringing their rubbish in?
00:57No, because we close at 10 o'clock, and they do afterwards.
01:05So why do you think it's overflowing if you've got your own guys coming in to clean the bins?
01:09It's not our rubbish. It's the residents. I've seen all the packaging in there. It's not our packaging.
01:17What do you think needs to be done then to stop this happening?
01:19It's the council. That's all I can say. It's the council, we don't have to do it at all.
01:23We pay our council taxes, we pay our rates, everything. So we don't know any other... That's all I can say.
01:39So we're with Linda and Graham, they're residents of the Walsall council borough here. So has it affected you doing the bin collections?
01:52No.
01:53No, not at all. But have you been affected seeing them with their chaos over there?
01:59No, not at all.
02:01The chaos is really...
02:03They must be collecting every week.
02:05Yeah.
02:06It's the same stuff.
02:07Some over there now, but there wasn't before.
02:09Yeah.
02:10So they were meant to be collected yesterday apparently.
02:12That's right.
02:13Some of the residents over there are quite angry that they haven't been yet. Do you think they are going to come at some point for them?
02:19Well, it'll be the first time since the strike started that they haven't been collected.
02:25Because if we can see from our window, when the vent comes...
02:29You can see it, yeah.
02:31They're not complaining about wheeling.
02:34Yeah.
02:35It's the truth now.
02:36Well, if we leave their wheeling behind...
02:40Because I don't know what's collected around the backs of the houses, you know, if they're not putting it out in the front,
02:45then that's snuck right in.
02:47It's going to attract more people.
02:49Yeah.
02:50So I don't know what goes.
