00:00This April, the 31st edition of the National Capital and Regional Athletic Association or NCRAA will be officially opened.

00:17The 31st season of the National Capital and Regional Athletic Association or NCRAA will open

00:23where the target of Immaculada Concepcion College, Masungkit,

00:39because they were able to invite some products of NCRAA

00:44that became successful in their careers like Vic Manuel, Gary David and many more.

00:51In the Philippine Sports Writers Association Forum yesterday in Manila,

00:55NCRAA General Manager Vali Encarnado led the help

01:00and said that their leadership will continue the search and formation of homegrown athletes in the country

01:07where some are professional athletes in their leagues like PBA, MPBL and other sports like Volleyball.

01:17We try to ensure the faith of new athletes, athletes, new faces

01:23who want to have a share in the field of sports.

01:29Not only basketball, not only volleyball, but volleyball and probably swimming.

01:37NCRAA would like to be a medium for the continued search for new faces in basketball.

01:46Encarnado also emphasized the importance of recruiting born and raised athletes in the Philippines

01:53rather than recruiting fill-and-players.

01:56Basically, that's why we are existing.

01:59The very purpose of NCRAA is to look for new faces.

02:09Most of the teams in big leagues, even collegiate leagues, they go out, they seek new players

02:18coming from U.S. schools or from any other.

02:23Kami naman sa NCRAA, and I have always mentioned this to the board, we go homegrown.

02:31Kaya kumapapasin nyo, even in the MPBL, yung player na Kenny Rojas Rocapurba,

02:41nakuha ko yun sa Camotes Island. Can you imagine Camotes Island?

02:46For God's sake, meron pala magandang player doon.

02:49So I go out, I really go out and seek for new players.

02:53If only the leagues can go and align their philosophy and their action towards the local players,

03:04I'm pretty sure marami tayong makukuha.

03:08Mula sa dating National Capital Region Athletic Association,

03:11iniba na ng Liga ang kanilang pangalan bilang National Capital and Regional Athletic Association

03:17bilang parte ng pagpapalawig ng kanilang kinasasakupan at sa pagtanggap nito

03:22ng mga bagong participating schools sa labas ng NCR,

03:25gaya ng Las Aldas Marinas, LPU Laguna, University of Luzon Dagupan, at Eyak Cavite.

03:32Sa ngayon wala pang eksaktong petsa at venue kung kailan at saan gaganapin ang nasabing event,

03:38ngunit siniguro ng NCRAA officials ang kanilang anunsyo sa mga susunod na linggo.
