Omar Sharif (born Michel Demitri Shalhoub in Alexandria, Egypt, in 1932), was a globally renowned actor celebrated for his charismatic presence and captivating performances. He achieved international stardom in David Lean's epic masterpiece "Lawrence of Arabia" (1962), earning him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
