00:00A small body of determined spirits, fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission,
00:07can alter the course of history.
00:31Growing up here in Hawaii, I loved swimming, surfing, and having fun in this
00:40paradise that we are so fortunate to call home.
00:45But I gradually realized growing up that I was actually happiest
00:52when I was doing things for other people.
00:54Doing things to protect our water, to protect our oceans, our land.
01:24When I was deployed in Iraq, there was a big sign at one of the main gates to our camp.
01:48And that sign read in big block letters, is today the day.
01:55It was a stark reminder for all of us that any day could be our last.
02:02How am I making the most of the time that I have?
02:17For too long, survivors of sexual harassment and assault have been isolated, shamed, and bullied into silence.
02:47In my past, I said and believed things that were wrong.
02:54And worse, they were very hurtful to people in the LGBTQ community and to their loved ones.
03:01I sincerely repeat my apology today.
03:04I'm deeply sorry for having said them.
03:17I am truly honored to nominate Bernie Sanders for President of the United States.
03:48As I have said before, there is evidence that he has committed war crimes.
03:53He should be prosecuted as such.
04:00I'm asking you to stand with me to build a movement of peace at home and abroad
04:08that will fulfill the promise of America of freedom, justice, equality, and opportunity for all.
