00:00Realistically, my followers are following me for my makeup and my clothing, so I kind
00:27of wanted a way to grasp their attention and keep them there long enough to actually learn
00:33something from it.
01:00Every decade of music has a different place in my heart for me.
01:03It's very inspiring, thinking about the fashion and just the way that music in itself kind
01:12of changed with the times, as well as makeup trends changing with the times.
01:29One of the songs in my series was the 1950s decade, which was Big Mama Thornton, who was
01:36the original singer of Hound Dog.
01:39She did well with that song, that's like her number one hit, but she did not get as much
01:44royalties as her counterpart, which was Elvis Presley.
01:49She is one of the victims of being erased from history because not many people knew about
01:55her when I posted and it showed in the comments and in DMs that they had no idea and they
02:01always thought that Elvis was the originator of the song, but in reality, she was.
02:22It definitely gets the curiosity rolling for people to do their own research and to
02:29kind of think like, well, maybe it's not so black and white as it seems, and that's all
02:34I wanted from the series and I'm beyond happy with the response that it's just been so positive.
