00:00You're fighting to be the girlfriend in a dumb comedy?

00:14If we see the same stories coming out of the same 20 people who are all men,
00:19it's, you just don't, society doesn't change, we don't have different conversations,
00:23and it's important to move forward.
00:30We are determined to create complex, dynamic, human characters
00:35that our mothers and daughters and sisters can all enjoy.
00:39Studio heads thought I was crazy.
00:43Like, too ambitious.
00:48Because I'm not afraid of a challenge.
00:50So I thought, well then I'll just start a company, self-funded,
00:53and start developing roles for women.
00:55We are determined to create complex, dynamic, human characters
00:58that our mothers and daughters and sisters can all relate to.
01:16It came out of frustration and just reading a lot of really bad scripts.
01:22I have to create more and do better for other women,
01:25and create opportunities for other women.
01:27Everybody deserves a chance to tell their story.
01:29I'm really excited that you guys are learning, you're just starting,
01:32but I hope this is giving you building blocks
01:35that are going to carry you through a lifetime.
