“One day, I scored a hat trick. Then the boys started passing me the ball, and I could play.”

Marta is from Italy, Tatiana from South Africa. They will both compete in the Danone Nations Cup, the world's largest football tournament for children aged 10 to 12. Here's how they want to change the game for girls who play football.

00:00If I had a magic wand of women's football I would change the discrimination and the comparisons between women and men because we are all equal.
00:17If I could change one thing in soccer it would be that boys to stop criticizing the girls and just let them, let the girls play.
00:30More than anything, when I played with the boys they didn't pass the ball to me, they didn't talk to me and they didn't accept me because I was a girl.
00:44But then one day they started to pass the ball to me and I started to play.
01:00They are very shocked and I usually score against them and they are very surprised.
01:16I am proud to participate also because if we get to the final stages there will be many different cultures and we will get to know each other.
01:30For the girls who dream of playing football there is a message because I was also scared at the beginning but then with sacrifice and commitment I did it and it is a dream to continue to believe because you will do it if you give your all.
02:00So any girl that is thinking about playing football don't let boys bring you down and encourage yourself and just follow your dreams.
