00:00Good morning everyone. So in honour of Mary Berry's 90th birthday I have decided to make
00:07her lemon tray bake drizzle cake. Don't ask me why. So obviously the key ingredients are
00:13computer, no, and in all seriousness I need to obviously look at the recipe, Magimix,
00:19my scales, various paraphernalia and of course the oven is on. So rather than sort of bore
00:27you with all my sort of adding to the Magimix, it is already in there and what I like about
00:33this recipe is you just add everything to sort of like the Magimix rather than have
00:39to have loads of bowls and loads of things around. So what I've done is I've added the
00:45butter, so if you'd like to know I have added exactly 225 grams of butter, 225 grams of
00:53caster sugar, 275 grams of self-raising flour, 2 level teaspoons of baking powder, 4 free
01:02range eggs, they are organic, 4 tablespoons of milk, 2 unwaxed lemons finely grated and
01:10unfortunately I haven't got the lemon verbena so this is going to have to do. As I can see
01:17I'm not showing you but I've actually grated my finger as one does so that's not very clever.
01:22So let's attempt to Magimix this.
01:36I've stopped the video and I'm going to Magimix a bit more and then pour it into my sort of
01:44baking tray and put it in the oven. Okay so stage 2, I've put it into the baking dish,
01:54I know it looks a bit of a mess so hopefully I'm going to put that in the oven now for
01:5835 to 40 minutes so let's see how that gets on. So it's not out the oven yet but I always
02:06like to check on progress when it comes to baking because it could be an unmitigated
02:11disaster and who knows it might be that still. So Alexa how long left on the timer?
02:16Alexa how long left on the timer?
02:20You have 18 minutes left on your 40 minute timer.
02:24Thank you Alexa. So I've got a bit of time left and whilst the cake has been baking or should I
02:30say tray bake, I've taken 175 grams of granulated sugar and I have added two lemon juice to that
02:44so that looks delightful. So when that comes out the oven I will be adding that to it so let's see
02:52how we get on with the next stage. Okay so I've taken this out the oven now, looks pretty good
02:57and as I said before I'd mixed together 175 grams of granulated sugar with the juice of two lemons
03:05but I've got to leave this to rest for 10 minutes which I will do and then I will add this and then
03:11it will be ready to eat, to cut and to eat so we shall see. Okay so it's out the oven, I've added
03:20the glaze to it, it's all been sampled by one member of my family, I've given a 9 out of 10
03:27and I have to admit I've had a piece myself, I'm just going to give you a close-up of the sponge,
03:34I think it's pretty delicious. I did as I said not coat some of them in case people weren't keen
03:39on the lemon glaze but it's pretty delicious and I would urge you all to bake it in honour
03:45of Mary Barry's 90th birthday.
