Steve Clarke's side suffer sobering UEFA Nations League relegation after dismal Hampden display
Transcript
00:00Scotland have been relegated to League B of the UEFA Nations League after a harrowing 3-0 defeat here at Hampden Park at home to Greece.
00:09Steve Clarke's men were second best throughout this contest aiming to of course protect their one goal lead that they built up in Piraeus on the outskirts of Athens on Thursday night.
00:20Things started positively, Scott McTominay forcing an early save from Tisoulakis in the Greek goal but from there on it was relatively one way traffic
00:28and Greece ran out deserving winners. This in all honesty could have been 4-5-6 on the night here at Hampden Park.
00:38Goals from Konstantelis Karetsis, the 17 year old Greek sensation and Tisoulakis in the second half wrapping up the victory for Ivan Jovanovic's side.
00:53Greece who as they proved in the second half during the first leg were always a threat, they looked a dangerous team on the counter attack and they certainly showed their quality here.
01:05Scotland ragged all over the place defensively at times, it could have been far worse as I say John Souter had to clear a Pavlidis lob off the goal line
01:16but this was a damning indicament of Steve Clarke's side, just when it appeared as though they were turning a corner this was a massive punch in the gut for Clarke's men as they were consigned to League B with a whimper.
