मुंबई, महाराष्ट्र: सुशांत सिंह राजपूत की मौत को आत्महत्या का मामला बताते हुए सीबीआई ने एक्ट्रेस रिया चक्रवर्ती को क्लीन चिट दे दी है। इस पर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए रिया के वकील सतीश मानशिंदे ने कहा कि मैं पहले दिन से ये कह रहा हूं कि सुशांत सिंह की मौत और रिया चक्रवर्ती के बीच कोई कनेक्शन नहीं है। जांच के दौरान मुंबई पुलिस ने भी एडीआर फाइल की थी और पाया था कि ऐसे कोई सबूत नहीं मिले। सुशांत सिंह के परिवार ने पटना में एफआईआर दर्ज की और आरोप लगाया कि रिया चक्रवर्ती ने सुशांत के 15 करोड़ रुपए का दुरुपयोग किया। फिर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सुनवाई करने के बाद केस को पटना भेजा।

00:00See right from the first day I have been saying that there is no connection between Riya Chakravorty and Sushant Singh's death.
00:08The Mumbai police during that time had filed an ADR, Accidental Death Report,
00:13which investigated the case and found that there was no prosecutable evidence.
00:19Though the case was not closed, it was still being investigated as an ADR.
00:24And since the Mumbai police was still in the midst of investigation,
00:29which according to the family of Sushant Singh was not palatable to them,
00:35they filed a FIR in Patna alleging that Riya Chakravorty had misappropriated 15 crores of rupees of Sushant Singh from his account,
00:47as well as being a cause for his death.
00:52And this went on for some time and we approached the Honourable Supreme Court.
00:56The Honourable Supreme Court, after hearing all the parties, transferred the case to Patna,
01:01though the incident had taken place in Mumbai.
01:04We protested in spite of that.
01:06The Honourable Supreme Court transferred the case to the CBI
01:10and held that the case registered in Patna was prosecutable
01:15and did not interfere with the objections that were taken.
01:20I submit that that law is not the correct law and ultimately some larger bench
01:27must look into that kind of judgment that has been passed and set the law correctly.
01:36Be that as it may,
01:38Riya Chakravorty faced the investigations.
01:41During that time she was hounded by three agencies.
01:44One was the NCB, one was the ED and one was the CBI.
01:48Apart from the Bombay police who had already investigated the case
01:51and come to a finding that it was a suicide case.
01:55So once the CBI opened the case, she appeared before the CBI,
02:00presented herself whenever she was called for.
02:03Her father was called for.
02:04Everyone in the family was interrogated.
02:07In spite of interrogating all of them, they could not find any evidence
02:11and ultimately relying upon the medical evidence that was collected during that time
02:16and the second opinion which was obtained from AIIMS,
02:20the CBI has now come to a conclusion that it is a closed case and filed a report.
02:27But there are so many disgruntled persons who are raising voices.
02:33They can take steps as admissible in the law.
02:36One of the steps is that the victim's family can file a protest petition
02:41which is a normal procedure in a court of law.
02:45If the learned magistrate or the special judge before whom the report is filed
02:50is convinced that this case needs to be looked into again by some other agency or by the CBI,
02:57it can order a further investigation.
03:00There is also a provision that the learned magistrate may ask the victim's family
03:05to lead evidence before a court of law and if at all there is a case made out,
03:10he can come to a conclusion in either way.
03:13But as the matter stands today, Rhea Chakravorty has been pronounced not guilty
03:18and there is no prosecutable evidence because right from the first day,
03:23I have said that Rhea Chakravorty had nothing to do with the death of Sushant Singh
03:28which was caused on 14th of June, 2020.
03:32Mainly because Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakravorty are living together.
03:37Rhea Chakravorty had found that he needed a psychiatric treatment
03:43and had referred him to five doctors.
03:46All those doctors had recommended that Sushant Singh should be put under medication
03:52which was meant for his mental state.
03:56On the site, Sushant Singh used to consume drugs.
04:00So, she had always complained to the doctors that consuming drugs
04:05and consuming medicine at the same time could be a cocktail
04:09and could cause lot of hindrance to his health.
04:12In spite of that, he did not stop.
04:14One of the reasons why he shifted from doctor to doctor,
04:17he went to five doctors,
04:19was because he was advised to stop smoking drugs or consuming drugs.
04:27But, you know, sometimes you can't help a patient.
04:30So, even on the fifth occasion when she reported to the doctor
04:34that he was consuming drugs and medicines together,
04:37he threw her out of the house.
04:39To such an extent that Shobhit Chakravorty was asked to come there and fetch his sister.
04:45Her bags were packed and she was thrown out of the house on the 8th of June, 2020.
04:50From 8th of June, 2020 till 14th of June, 2020, there was no contact.
04:57Once Rhea Chakravorty heard that she had committed suicide,
05:01she tried to attend the funeral.
05:04She was stopped from attending the funeral.
05:07She had a glance of the body in the hospital.
05:10That was the end of it.
05:12So, with such a case, I am not surprised that the CBI has filed a closure report.
