00:00Welcome to WatchMojo and today we're counting down our picks for the coolest moments where
00:09Vegeta showed why he's the Prince of Saiyans.
00:19Based on how this fight went, it's clear Babidi needs to hire better minions.
00:36Then again, it could be that Vegeta is just that strong.
00:40The wizard tried to pull a fast one by transporting both competitors to Pui Pui's home planet
00:46where gravity is ten times that of Earth's.
00:49Little did he know that Vegeta trains in even more intense conditions.
01:02Punching Pui Pui's face in and blasting him into space dust was little more than a
01:07warm-up for the Saiyan Prince.
01:09He didn't even have to turn Super Saiyan.
01:12That's how you know Vegeta really didn't have to try.
01:37When a pair of Tuffle ruffians try their hand at fusion, it's the egotistical Saiyan
01:42who gets the honour of putting them back in their place.
01:46And this being Vegeta, you know he did it with some flair.
01:58Even combined, the Tuffle siblings were only half of Vegeta's full might, especially
02:03once he achieved Super Saiyan Blue Evolved.
02:06It's honestly a bit sad to see their ultimate trump card fall apart so quickly.
02:12But to be fair, Vegeta doesn't call it the Final Flash for nothing.
02:16Quite frankly, Kami and Orin should be glad they survived the blast at all.
02:30The tournament of destroyers was far from what
02:45you'd call an even playing field.
02:48Using all sorts of nasty tricks to ratchet up the heat and tension, Vegeta seemed to
02:53be nearing his limits against Automajetta's impenetrable body.
02:57That is, until he realised when sticks and stones fail, words won't.
03:20Combining a Final Flash with some debilitating insults, Vegeta pummeled right through Majetta's
03:25armour and shoved him out the ring.
03:28Keep in mind, this is without Super Saiyan Blue.
03:31If he'd gone all out from the start, he probably could have KO'd Majetta in one
03:35shot.
03:36No insults required.
03:55Saiyans aren't exactly known for their merciful ways, but still, mirroring your own
03:59partner is pretty cold-blooded.
04:02Not that something as silly as loyalty ever stopped Vegeta before.
04:05For seemingly no other reason than to assert his own dominance, Vegeta refused to help
04:10his fallen comrade, instead tossing him in the air and treating him to a massive wallop
04:15of energy.
04:29Considering Nappa single-handedly killed off most of Z's main cast, seeing Vegeta effortlessly
04:34burn him to a crisp is bone-chilling.
04:37If that's what he's capable of doing to Nappa, then it's a good thing Goku got there
04:41before the others had to fight him.
04:58The most important rule in any Demon Realm adventure is never, ever steal the ship of
05:03a Saiyan Prince.
05:04Unless, of course, you want to end up like these guys.
05:07In the name of blowing off some steam, Vegeta effortlessly dunked on each thug with all
05:12the style, strength and suave you'd expect.
05:16Despite their numbers advantage, the thieves can't even manage a single hit.
05:20Actually, it's probably more accurate to say they can't even keep an eye on Vegeta.
05:25Kid or not, the Prince of the Saiyans is obviously well-versed in the art of butt-kicking.
05:44He may not be the warm and cuddly type, but that doesn't mean you can pick on Vegeta's
05:48protege and get away with it.
05:50Cabo was having a really rough time in the Tournament of Power, but just as Universe
05:554's Mona was about to roll him out of the ring for good, Vegeta swooped in, knocked
05:59her aside and saved Cabo from elimination in one fell swoop.
06:04Of course, all without transforming.
06:09Can't expend too much energy in a tournament like this, right?
06:16The coolest part of this scene is knowing if Vegeta wanted, he could have knocked them
06:20both out without breaking a sweat.
06:41Never one to trail Goku for too long, Vegeta wasn't willing to let GT end without matching
06:47his rival's new foray into Saiyan evolution.
06:51Against the likes of Omega Shenron, it couldn't have come a moment sooner, either.
06:55Bulma blasts him with some Blitz Waves, and Vegeta's off to the races as a golden great
07:00ape capable of tearing everything in his path to shreds, even Goku.
07:05Thankfully, he bypasses most of the destructive phase and skips right to the main event, Super
07:11Saiyan 4.
07:16Shadow Dragon?
07:17Whatever.
07:18Nothing can compete with how cool Vegeta looks in that mullet.
07:32Number 23.
07:33A Darker Shade of Blue
07:44In the middle of a bonafide Saiyan Smackdown, not even Vegeta can come out on top alone.
07:50Thankfully, tools gave him just the boost he needs.
07:53The evil Doppelganger's attempts at corrupting Vegeta only give the Prince all the energy
07:57he needs to attain a new kind of Super Saiyan Blue.
08:01Now fuelled by dark aura and a ravenous desire for payback, Vegeta blows back both Turtles
08:07and Combo with a single, dazzling Galick Gun.
08:23Normally we'd bemoan Vegeta's violent methods, but here, embracing the dark side turned out
08:28to be precisely what he needed.
08:38Number 22.
08:40Final Atonement
08:47There is a lot you can say about this scene.
08:49It's dramatic, emotional, jaw-dropping, and above all else, just plain iconic.
08:55But the only reason it conjures all of that is because right here is the very pinnacle
08:59of Vegeta in Z.
09:01There's no holding back or showing off this time.
09:04Killing Buu is do or die.
09:10Sadly, Vegeta had to choose both.
09:17Even though neither death ends up sticking, seeing Vegeta unleash it all in the name of
09:22saving Earth still packs a Saiyan-sized punch, if only because we've never seen him go
09:27this far before.
09:38Number 21.
09:39Super Saiyan 3
09:48After decades of anticipation, fan theories, and debate, here it is.
09:53Vegeta as Super Saiyan 3 in all its spiky-haired glory, and my god is it cool.
09:59Vegeta hardly has to uncross his arms to send Tamagami Number 2 back to the scrap heap.
10:04But this being his animated debut as Super Saiyan 3, it didn't stop there.
10:09Vegeta takes it a step further with some insane aerial blows and, of course, a Galick Gun
10:15on top.
10:26While he certainly left us hanging for more than a few years, Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta lived
10:31up to the hype, and then some.
10:40Number 20.
10:41Vegeta vs. The Undead Nabba
10:43Way back in Z, the bald-headed Saiyan met an unceremonious end courtesy of his own partner.
10:50A few hundred episodes later, Nabba returned from Otherworld, ready to exact revenge.
10:56The only catch?
10:57How his scaling had left him in the proverbial space dust.
11:09By the time he comes face-to-face with Vegeta again, he's not even worth his partner's
11:14time anymore.
11:15The Saiyan Prince fires off a single blast, and just like that, Nabba's second life
11:20ends the same way the first one did.
11:23The most impressive part of this isn't that Vegeta managed to kill Nabba twice, but that
11:27he looked bored while doing it.
11:32Number 19.
11:34Great Ape Vegeta vs. Krillin, Gohan, and Yajirobe
11:38Nothing goes beast mode quite like a giant raging ape.
11:42So just to assert dominance, Vegeta put the Saiyan specialty to good use during his assault
11:48on Earth.
11:57Even though it was three-on-one, it took everything Gohan, Krillin, and Yajirobe had just to stay
12:02alive.
12:03Although considering that Goku himself barely scraped by, surviving is all they could have
12:09hoped for.
12:10It's just a good thing Yajirobe cut the ape's tail when he did, or else Vegeta would
12:14have probably trampled the entire planet.
12:17After all, if this is what he can do against trained warriors, the rest of Earth didn't
12:21stand a chance.
12:27Number 18.
12:29Training with Trunks
12:30As every father knows, the best way to bond with your kid is to plant their face in the
12:35ground.
12:36Or maybe that's just Vegeta's thing.
12:38He'd spent a few years apart from his futuristic child, but despite that, the Saiyan prince
12:44didn't hold back in their sparring match.
12:46That meant going at it with the full might of Super Saiyan Blue.
12:52It's pretty brutal seeing Trunks go down so easily, but it's even more disrespectful
13:00since Vegeta let his son power all the way up first.
13:04That's the kind of blow that doesn't just hit the body, it hurts your pride.
13:16Number 17.
13:17Vegeta vs. Kato Pesara
13:19In the multiversal tournament of power, Vegeta didn't have time to waste on the small fry.
13:25Unfortunately for Kato Pesara, that included him.
13:29The poor guy really never stood a chance.
13:31In fact, he didn't even get to finish his power-up monologue before Vegeta sent him
13:36packing.
13:37Let's just say, Vegeta gave Kato Pesara a quick lesson on why it's called a Final
13:52Flash.
13:53In Kato Pesara's defence, he at least tried to fight back, but not even his so-called
13:58ultimate form could save him from one of the quickest eliminations in the whole tournament.
14:05Clearly, hell hath no fury like a Saiyan in a rush.
14:12Number 16.
14:13The Ginyu Force Goes Down
14:15It's no small secret that Vegeta is a bit bloodthirsty, but it's one thing to hear
14:20about it, and another entirely to see him ruthlessly decapitate Guldo.
14:25That's not even the end of it, either.
14:35After Goku gives Beater and Rikum a good thrashing, Vegeta makes sure they stay down.
14:40Imminently.
14:41Jace tries to make a run for it, but not even he can escape Vegeta's wrath.
14:46If anything, the Saiyan Prince takes special pride in blasting that guy's head off.
15:02For those keeping track, that means Vegeta is responsible for murdering four of the five
15:07members of the Ginyu Force.
15:09Remind us to never get between him and his pride ever again.
15:13Number 15.
15:14Vegeta vs. Semi-Perfect Cell
15:17Turns out all it takes is a year inside the hyperbolic time chamber to turn any Saiyan
15:22into a bonafide cell squasher.
15:27See, last we saw of Vegeta, the androids had broken his arms and his pride.
15:35Throw in Cell's quest for perfection, and the imposing threat to Earth seemed practically
15:39unstoppable.
15:41That is, until Vegeta arrived back on the scene and got to fighting.
15:45This time, he didn't just wreck the creations.
15:48He made a complete show of it.
15:50It's a downright ferocious affair that ranks among the most one-sided fights in all of
15:55Dragon Ball.
15:56After a beatdown like this, it's a wonder how Cell's ego ever recovered.
16:09Number 14.
16:10Vegeta vs. Dodoria
16:19Freeza's lieutenant learned first-hand that you never, ever bring up Planet Vegeta around
16:25its namesake prince, especially when you don't have the power level to back it up.
16:30To be fair, Dodoria technically won their first round, but his calculation for round
16:352 didn't account for Vegeta's sudden power boost.
16:38By the time Dodoria realized what he was up against, it was already too late.
16:46He tried to run away, but it didn't do him any good.
16:50Vegeta's energy blast practically melted Dodoria where he stood, and that was that.
16:55At the very least, his death was mercifully quick.
16:59From a vengeful Vegeta, that's the best you can ask for.
17:02Number 13.
17:04Vegeta vs. Kui
17:05You've got to give Kui some credit.
17:08He certainly knows how to put on a good light show.
17:10The only thing is that, to Vegeta, that's all it was.
17:14The Saiyan emerged from Kui's surprise attack without so much as a scratch.
17:19After that, you can imagine how the rest of the fight goes down.
17:31The only thing more gratifying than seeing Kui sweat bricks is that Vegeta finishes him
17:36off with a single, measly punch.
17:39He even blows up the remains too, just to really bask in the victory.
17:48This is a textbook example of Vegeta's specific brand of vengeance.
17:53It's vicious, it's painful, and it's oh-so-fun to watch.
17:57Number 12.
17:58Vegeta vs. Frost
17:59Ironically, Frost is the one who got the chilliest reception at the Tournament of Destroyers.
18:05He fought, lied, and cheated his way to the top.
18:09But luckily, Vegeta was already there to knock him back down to size.
18:20As a matter of fact, the Saiyan didn't indulge Frost for even a second.
18:25There was no lengthy transformation, no light smack-talk, and no warm-up blows.
18:30Instead, their match started and ended in the span of a single punch.
18:35Sure, Vegeta's always been one of the seventh universe's best and brightest.
18:39But seeing him one-shot someone as maniacal as Frost is just a different kind of cool.
18:57Number 11.
18:58Attack on Perfect Cell
19:00Emotional isn't a word that's used often to describe Vegeta.
19:04And yet, when Perfect Cell blasted a hole through Future Trunks, the Saiyan Prince got
19:09mad.
19:10Really, really mad.
19:12To the point he charged him all on his own, odds be damned.
19:18Vegeta didn't even stop at one attack.
19:21He kept firing blast after blast until he burned through every ounce of his remaining
19:26strength.
19:27This is one of the first times that Vegeta is truly fighting for something other than
19:31himself.
19:32And the results speak for themselves.
19:40If it weren't Cell on the other side of this rampage, this whole battle would have
19:43gone very differently.
19:46Number 10.
19:47Vegeta vs. Zarbon
19:48Saiyans have this annoying habit of growing stronger whenever they're beaten within
19:53an inch of their lives.
19:55And Vegeta has danced with death many times.
20:03The Prince's first fight against Zarbon ended with him in a rejuvenation chamber on
20:08Frieza's ship.
20:09But this defeat only makes the Saiyan come back with a vengeance.
20:13In their second fight, Vegeta basically toys with the utterly confused Zarbon, releasing
20:19his pent-up frustration with one final vicious attack.
20:31Adding a new hole to Zarbon's stomach, Vegeta annihilates Frieza's soldier, looking mightily
20:37pleased with himself in the process.
20:46Number 9.
20:47Releasing Hell on Goku Black
20:50Vegeta is actually pretty prideful.
21:01The Saiyan Prince takes his Saiyan lineage very seriously, and eventually even grows
21:06to respect Goku for his natural talent and hard work.
21:10So, when Super threw out a fake Kakarot who constantly talks down to the OG Saiyans, Vegeta
21:17understandably gets a bit peeved.
21:35Their intense bout sees the Prince momentarily overwhelm the villain, denouncing him as a
21:40legitimate member of their race, before showing him that Super Saiyan Rose doesn't mean
21:46jack.
22:03Number 8.
22:04Vegeta vs. Broly
22:06This first big brawl of one of DB's best cinematic ventures finally allows Vegeta to
22:12erase the time that Broly made him look like a chump in that other film.
22:17Even with Broly's intense rage and unattainable muscle, Vegeta is able to hold his own, even
22:23in his base form.
22:33However, once Vegeta gets annoyed, Broly finds himself on the back foot rather quickly.
22:52If that wasn't beastly enough, he unleashes his Super Saiyan God Mode for the first time,
22:58and as a result gives Broly an intimate tour of Earth's mountain ranges.
23:17Number 7.
23:18Putting the fear of God into an android
23:20As the mighty Saiyan Prince, Vegeta can't stand the thought of being outdone by a commoner
23:25like Kakarot.
23:27The fact Goku became a Super Saiyan was a major blow to his pride, driving the Prince
23:32to push well beyond his limits.
23:39Eventually, Vegeta managed to reach the Promised Land, and the Saiyan has an absolute blast
23:52demonstrating the fruits of his labour on Android 19.
24:02Vegeta destroys the bulky machine physically and mentally, reducing it to a terrified mess
24:09before giving him an explosive parting gift.
24:30Overconfidence has led Vegeta down many painful roads, but this is not one of those times.
24:36Number 6.
24:37The first Final Flash
24:45After stupidly and arrogantly allowing Cell to absorb Android 18 to achieve his perfect
24:51form, Vegeta quickly comes to realise that he might have made a big mistake.
25:05Faced with a much more powerful adversary, Vegeta bets everything on one ultimate attack,
25:11and it's a sight to behold.
25:13At this point, Vegeta is basically a wounded animal who's desperately trying to survive,
25:19and the Prince bears all of his teeth with this extraordinary debut of his most iconic
25:24technique.
25:41Despite it not quite hitting the mark, it's still an impressive sight to behold.
25:46Number 5.
25:47Majin Vegeta
25:48In the years following the Cell games, Vegeta reluctantly settled down with Bulma and Trunks.
25:54While he never stopped training rigorously, he comes to believe that this newfound happiness
25:59has caused him to grow soft, and as such, unable to best Goku.
26:04This makes Vegeta vulnerable to Babidi's influence, wherein he accepts the Dark Side
26:09Power Boost without much struggle.
26:19This Majin run represents the Prince's last-ditch effort to revert to the sadistic villain he
26:23once was, a fact reflected by Vegeta's monstrous destruction of the World Martial Arts Tournament.
26:33Powerful as he may be, this is Vegeta at his lowest.
26:44Number 4.
26:45Pulverising Golden Freezer
26:47There is nobody Vegeta hates more than Freezer.
26:58The Emperor wiped out most of the Saiyan race, stole his birthright, and made him act as
27:03a glorified attack dog.
27:06When Freezer makes his comeback tour, the villain sets his sights on Goku, but Vegeta
27:11ends up being the one who puts the Space Tyrant in his place.
27:23Unlike Goku's tendency to fight for the fun of it, Vegeta only wishes to reduce Freezer
27:28to ash, a feat the Saiyan might have accomplished if not for Freezer's nasty habit of blowing
27:34up planets.
27:47Number 3.
27:48Going Ape on Goku
27:50When all else fails, Saiyans always have the option to literally become beasts.
27:55After being bested by Goku in an energy clash, Vegeta throws a tantrum so big, he transforms
28:02into a great ape.
28:05Unlike previously shown examples of Uzaru, Vegeta retains his senses while in this form,
28:10a combination that spells near doom for Goku.
28:20The size difference and enhanced strength proves to be Goku's undoing, with Vegeta
28:25breaking his body down with mammoth-sized blows again and again.
28:35If he hadn't been having so much fun, then maybe he wouldn't have been so susceptible
28:40to that surprise backlash.
28:47Number 2.
28:48My Bulma
28:50Rage has been a constant source of strength for Vegeta, one typically mixed with pride
28:55and selfishness.
28:56However, after becoming a family man, it's his love for Bulma that drives him forward
29:01when facing a tougher foe.
29:08When Beerus, the god of destruction, slaps Bulma, Vegeta erupts.
29:20Turns out that it doesn't matter who or what you are.
29:23If you strike Vegeta's wifey, it's your lifey.
29:26This outburst may not be unprecedented, but it's one of the clearest examples of how
29:31far the former warmonger has come.
30:01Number 1.
30:02Vegeta vs Top
30:03From the start of Dragon Ball Z to the end of Super, Vegeta gradually transformed into
30:09a mature hero.
30:10The Saiyan's incredible fight against Toppo highlights his complete growth, showing that
30:15he has become someone with a reason to fight beyond a selfish desire for more power.
30:25While Toppo abandons everything to become a god of destruction, Vegeta finds strength
30:31in the things that matter to him, primarily his family.
30:51Flipping the Majin Arc on its head, Vegeta takes down a god by embracing his mortal connections.
30:58Vegeta becomes such a beast during this fight, the Saiyan uses a self-destruct attack and
31:03somehow survives.
