00:00Re-Animal is a co-op horror adventure where you play two siblings and you're looking for
00:14your three friends.
00:16These kids grew up in a lovely place but due to reasons that become more apparent as you
00:21play the game, that lovely place has turned really quite nasty and so your job as these
00:26two players is to go and rescue your other friends and try and escape this nasty place.
00:31The island itself, due to this inciting incident, has been fractured and so it's in three large
00:37parts and a bunch of smaller bits.
00:39Each of your friends can be found in one of these big parts.
00:43It's a very simple tale of find yourself in hell, go through a really scary place, survive
00:48and rescue your friend.
00:49You know, it's a tale as old as time.
00:52We really love seeing people go with us and just go the extra mile and find all those
00:57secrets and all these things and put it all together and come up with their theory, right?
01:00So I feel like if we give away too much up front, everybody loses.
01:04We've definitely given players more this time around than in previous games but still it's
01:09nice to keep a little bit back so you can kind of meet in the middle and see what people
01:12make of what you've given them and all that.
01:15It's definitely a co-op game.
01:16You're together solving various little, maybe puzzles is almost too much of a word there,
01:21but you're overcoming different obstacles in the world and survive various things we
01:25pitch against you together, right?
01:27So it's about the two players finding ways to survive and rescuing their friends, really,
01:32like we said before.
01:46Because I'm a big Couch fan, Couch co-op is where it's at for me, but then a load of people
01:50love online and then there's people who just want to do that together.
01:54So the fact that the tech team have managed to get all three boxes checked up front, I
01:58think is really, really nice.
02:00And what was also very, very important to us is that it's all kind of the same experience
02:05because this camera is always the same, right?
02:08We don't have split screen.
02:09In online co-op, you don't follow your character and the other one is doing whatever.
02:13It's always being together as the two characters.
02:16And yeah, like Mer said from the beginning, let's get it together.
02:19That was one of the pillars and I feel like this camera is kind of essential to pulling
02:24that off.
02:25People have played our previous games together anyway, whether they was co-op or not, that
02:30made that decision feel quite a natural one.
02:33They're like, ah, people want this and, you know, let's give, let's do it.
02:37It's going to be fun, you know?
02:38Whenever we put something in the game, we are trying to make sure it doesn't get boring.
02:43It's something new.
02:44One thing we're really trying not to do is to give you the same thing over and over and
02:48over and just work based on a recipe.
02:51But instead, we're really questioning ourselves.
02:52Is this unique within the game, right?
02:54I'm not saying unique across all games, but trying to give the players something fresh
02:59within the experience that we're crafting.
03:01And then hopefully that leads to something that people actually enjoy.
03:10Hope you enjoyed that behind the scenes look at Reanimal.
03:13Wishes to us and more info is coming soon.
